I was gifted three $25 VISA gift cards…

I was gifted three $25 VISA gift cards from My Prepaid Center. When I activated them, the balance was $1.20 for each. I attempted to contact customer service, but was placed in the queue for 20 minutes. When the hold time reached 3 minutes, the call disconnected. Buyer Beware!

myprepaidcenter.com BAD PRACTICES

I don't know why there hasn't been an investigation into this fraudulent organization. Two weeks ago, I received an email for a settlement with Equifax. It was for $45 and it said that if I didn't take the electronic check to do nothing and they'd mail me a check. Well, today I receive another email saying that since "I have opted to receive an electronic payment (which I never did), you were issued an additional settlement payment by electronic pre-paid card to your email address on file and our records indicate that it has been activated successfully. Well, I never activated this card either because I wasn't even aware that they had issued the electronic payment w/out my consent. I went to its website (myprepaidcenter.com) and have zero balance and no history for this card or for any of my previous cards, either. These are cards that were issued to me for different reasons but when I try to use them, either at a website or a brick-and-mortar store, you find out that they're declined.

Garbage, RipOff company

My credit card expired on 08/2025. Almost a week prior of my card expiring, I was no longer able to use the rest of the funds. It kept giving me errors to login. Almost $30.00 left on there. Customer service number didn't work either. Now that the card is officially expired, now customer service phone number works. I could even see the card on the portal platform. USELESS!

Card Is Unusable!

I've had this card for almost a year or there about, and within this period I was only able to use it successfully ONCE. In fact, at some point, it was expired and I had to write a review complaining about their service and/or product here, and was promptly issued a new card containing my balance (commendable); although with a shorter expiry date.Having said that, since April that I received a new issuance, the card has been useless for me, as almost all the sites where I had tried to use it whether to buy a product or pay for service has been unsuccessful. In fact, I just tried it again few weeks ago, on two different websites to pay for a software service, with both attempts resulting into bad experiences. At this point I really don't know what to think, whether the company is deliberately blocking or is not willing to allow payment to go through from their end - or maybe they are being selective or restrictive as to where one is allowed to use the card, which was not communicated to me as of the time I got the card. Furthermore, reading through several other reviews here, it is quite obvious that I am not alone in this ship, as several other customers have reported failure of being unable to use their card for payment. For one, I keep getting authentication issue (Unable to authenticate your payment method, please try another payment method), even though all the card details were being properly entered during checkout. Now, I still have funds on the card, which unfortunately expired in Aug, 2025. :( Do I need to write this off as a loss or is there a way of getting another card, and this time, with the ability to be able to spend the funds without limitations and I would appreciate it if I can get back my fund too.

stay away from them

they locked my prepaid card 1 day after activation for no reason and are now phishing for a lot of personal and financial information to "research the problem". shady company with horrendous c/s that's impossible to reach. stay away if you don't want to deal with a lot of aggravation. ***Update 9/10/25 - That response from Maurice V was perfunctory, no one got back to me, the prepaid card is still locked, the c/s is unreachable and/or unhelpful and there has been no resolution.

Currently unable to use the card - UPDATED

Currently unable to use the card, and because I'm not in the US, can't contact customer support. Card is denying at every retailer.UPDATEWas contacted by customer service who resolved the issue. Seems like it was majority user issue, however still unable to add card to google pay despite installing the external app.

Most recent card keeps getting declined

I have received multiple pre-paid cards from class-action settlements through myprepaidcenter and previously had no issues. But my most recent card was declined by multiple online vendors without successful use. Amazon notified me that they charged my usual cc as a backup payment method, but I wouldn't have made the purchase otherwise, so that sucks. The purchase was well below my balance, which is still showing as full on the myprepaidcenter website.I then checked previous cards and found that most had been fully spent but one other card still had a partial balance that I didn't expect (unsure if this was another backup payment situation or an oversight on my part).As their website doesn't list a customer service email and I refuse to go through the phone queue hell others have mentioned, I'm posting this here as it seems an effective way to get their attention.Update: there was a problem on my card and they were able to fix it. Original rating 2 stars, updated to 5.

Total scam. ZERO support

Total scam. ZERO Support. Deliberate misrepresentation at every step. Add to apple wallet? Denied by issuer. Add to cash app? Denied by issuer. Maybe you have to download their wallet first, and add from there. Tried that. Denied by issuer. Cal support, 26 options. instructions. At the end of one 9 item menu, 0 works. Then it says transferring to an operator, then disconnects you. I tried every path. No way to talk to a human (or even AI), agent AT ALL. Despite promising support, and that you can add to mobile wallets, that is a lie. Request a physical card? My claim was a year ago, I've moved, but you cant change the address. Even if I hadn't its min two weeks (why?), or you can expedite for $20 (ah that's why). No option to change address either way. Use online? Only works at a list of me chants they they get kick backs from, none of which I want to shop at. O look, they change a monthly inactivity fee, for a card you cant actually use. All the money ends up in their pockets, by design. THEFT is what this is. What a total scam!!!

Worst card experience ever

The card worked the first time and now doesn't work anywhere. Support doesn't help and doesn't respond to requests. Now I have dead money laying on their card. Never ever use this company.
