I repeat I was so impressed travel Leeds to Manchester in October and then November. I very impressed with your driver on Sunday 23rd November Birmingham to Leeds.He was so upbeat, kind, hard working and curteous. He is very rare! Give this man a raise! ××
Good service, good driver.Just slightly more expensive than flix and more stops and journey times happen to suit better. But flix notified their bus delayed 23 minutes so I went into a cafe for a coffee only to find when I came out. The bus had caught up time and left on schedule time without me.Hence national express saved the day with later bus.
I don't know why the bus picked me up outside the Nottingham coach station. After that, the driver drove back to the coach station without stopping. There were no announcements or signs, so how were the passengers supposed to know that he was parking the coach outside?
We booked 4 seats and reserved the 4 seats on the coach. We had booked a journey from London to the north east - around 6.1/2 hours, with zero stops. We were told nothing about having to change, yet when we arrived in Leeds we were told if you are travelling to Middlesbrough you have to change coaches. When we asked why, and that we had booked a journey with zero stops, they just said ‘because this one isn’t going to Middlesbrough now’. That’s not so much a problem, but the other coach didn’t echo our reserved seats on the first so now we weren’t sat with each other as we were previously. Again not a huge problem but communication would have helped.
Ticket just said Gatwick North Terminal coach stop, however, when you leave the exit saying coaches you find 3 stops and a sign to say there's more down the road. This would be fine if National Express provided the stop number you need to be at on the booking details. Once you are hoping you're in the right place, you then have several coaches at once and you're somehow meant to know that a certain coach number and end destination is the one you are waiting for, despite not actually being provided with this information on your ticket, confirmation email or in the app. Staff were friendly, driving was smooth and I arrived on time but the toilet was locked for the full 3 hour journey and the WiFi was patchy, so the whole experience wasn't perfect on this occasion.
