Honestly, the coaches are always trustworthy but the customer service is irritating at times, it’s very hard to find someone to talk to and when you do it’s over text - there was a glitch with my phone and it showed that I hadn’t received the ticket I needed so I tried a second time and then it went through, they denied my request to refund that first ticket, but after reading the guidelines it was entirely possible to get a refund, they just didn’t feel like it that day I guess .

Since rediscovering National Express last year, I have made many journeys with them. They are much cheaper than the train and I find them particularly useful for travelling to central London or Heathrow Airport avoiding the need for transfer journeys on arrival.

Southampton Station/Depot staff are awful. The coach was delayed arriving but all passengers were pushed out in to the cold outside because it closes at 16.30.
On returning from H/row (2 weeks later) two passengers travelling from S.Arica did not have 20p to gain access to the toilets. After travelling down on their coach from H/row. They were refused entry to the toilets. Disgraceful….

Got to Stansted airport on Tuesday night. Informed by a representative of national express that our 19:55 was cancelled and it would be over an hour until a coach arrived. The reason given was that the road had been closed due to an accident, not a problem, these things happen, so we got the train to London instead. No option to cancel online so I submitted a complaints form. Response today, claiming that the coach ran and talking about their policy on connections. This was completely irrelevant as we didn't have a connection. The issue was that the coach was cancelled. It would appear that they have reinstated the coach or have not kept their representative on the ground properly informed of what is happening. Just for clarity, the bloke at Stansted was really friendly and genuinely trying to be helpful. He is not the problem, their customer service team is the issue.

Edit: their customer service team are no help whatsoever.

The driver on the 2pm 444 service to Gloucester on Sunday 1st Feb was a real credit to the company, he could not have been more accommodating and friendly.
Coach was also clean and comfortable. Only very small negative was the WiFi goes off at every drop off and you have to log back in.
