Review Time
The product worked as advertised. However as you might assume it takes a while to circulate all of the water to get it to the desired temperature, so you must plan ahead. This doesn't describe my wife. Since this was a gift to her we determined to return it. Initially that was an issue, but after a couple interactions with the customer service department we were well taken care of.
This chiller isn’t worth the money. Ours failed to cool to the desired temperature after two months. It even gave a high temperature warning and started beeping uncontrollably. Seems dangerous to me. I immediately contacted customer service and was surprised at how responsive they were. But after months of back and forth with trouble shooting and videos demonstrating the problem, they emailed to tell me the 6-month warranty had run out. They strung me along for 4 months. After letting them know I would be reporting them to the FTC and BBB they offered to send me a new temperature probe. It looks completely different from the original part and surprise— it doesn’t work!UPDATE:Nuvio has agreed to send us a refurbished chiller.
I cold plunge every morning and was sick of paying for and hauling ice on a daily basis. I got sticker shock when looking at some of the options out there for a simple tub and chiller. Nuvio had a tremendous offer going for a combo of tub and chiller, and I made the plunge (pun intended). Their unit gets the job done at a fraction of the cost of competitors I'd shopped. I live in Arizona, so our tap water comes out warmer than in other areas so I was surprised initially at the amount of time it takes to cool a fresh tub of water, but once I understood that I now have a routine where I set the chiller each night so it can run overnight so I can have a tub in the low 40's in the morning. Also, when I did encounter an issue or had questions the support from one of their employees named Cherry was fantastic - courteous and effective. Are there some bells and whistles I'd love to have? Sure - but not for an extra $1500 - $2500 or more. Very glad I made the choice I did. I have referred a family member and a friend to Nuvio and would recommend to anyone.
False Advertising, Poor Product, and Zero Customer SupportI bought this product because it touted in its website “Try It Risk Free” and “30 Day Money Back Guarantee”.I tried it once. It was incredibly loud, took 4 hours to get the water from 60 degrees to 52 in my bathtub, and leaks at the port.I went to return it, and after 48 hours (there’s no phone number to call, only email address) they continue to simply send me the fine print of their return policy that only unopened products can be returned. How is one supposed to “try it risk free” without opening the box?!?Poor quality product with predatory marketing and sales tactics.
Horrible customer service, I’ve been trying to get ahold of them about an order I placed & then I cancelled right after. No response at all, I’ve sent 5 emails & numerous texts messages with zero response. Now I just got an email saying it was shipped. They shipped the order even after I told them to cancel the order! Now I gotta deal with shipping it back once I receive it.
We purchased the chiller and the sauna. My husband uses them everyday as part of his routine. I’ve had to contact customer support(Matt) a couple of times with questions and concerns both of which they resolved quickly. Our experience has been excellent from every angle.
