Never again!

Never again! Stay away from Optimum RV!I failed to read all the reviews before and I sold my used motor home to Optimum RV (not a consignment). Everything was fine, the communication and the sales contract, until the day of drop off. I dropped off my motor home in Zephyrhills, signed the title and the transfer of the title, but in contradiction to all agreements done before I have not received the check. The manager in Zephyrhills told me I would receive the check by mail from Ocala. Zephirhills is a very small facility and looked run down when I entered it that morning of drop off. But it sounded reasonable and I thought Optimum RV is such a big company they wouldn´t try to trick me! That assumption was wrong!!!I called the sales department in Ocala every day; a very polite manager always told me: „I am sorry Sir, I don´t know, I must send an email to my manager again because he didn´t answer.” Same game every day for three weeks! No success. An attorney checked all my documents, and luckily I have saved and stored all text messages. The attorney called different managers several times. At the same time I have sent an email to the CEO of Optimum RV and explained to him the situation. I received a response from the CEO immediately and I got the check a day later. In summary, only with the help of an attorney and potentially the CEO, I got my money.I will never make a deal – doesn´t matter which kind of – with Optimum RV again. Too frustrating and you can´t sleep before you get your money.

Optimum RV Unscrupulous Sales Practices

I purchased an RV from Optimum RV located in Ocala, FL on April 26, 2025 and cancelled the sale of the RV on 04/27/2025 because our financial situation changed. I also looked in detail costs of the 20 year loan. I had told them I did not want a 20-year loan. I spoke with Diane at Optimum RV 04/27/2025 and she agreed to cancel the purchase and offered to tear up my check. No deposit or down payment was made. I spoke with Doug Kidd at Optimum RV on June 7, 2025 who told me he would take care of the cancellation and have someone contact me. Although Optimum agreed to cancel the purchase, they submitted a loan application anyway and had the loan funded. I never signed any final loan disclosures, and I never inspected or took delivery of the RV. Now there is a loan with Alliant Credit Union on an RV that I never took delivery of. I request your assistance in resolving this issue and cancelling this loan. Optimum RV agreed to cancel the purchase on April 27, 2025. This is a kind of fraud since they initiated a loan on an RV they never delivered. The business practices of Optimum RV are questionable and anyone considering a purchase there should think carefully. They have no regard for the customers needs.

We consigned a 5th wheel with them

We consigned a 5th wheel with them. Everything seemed good until such time has they received or RV. Everything went down hill from there. From unreturned phone calls and repeated empty promises. I am embarrassed to have cotracted with them.

Worst experience

Service, registration and warranty SERVICE: We took RV for some minor repairs right after purchase with claims of being repaired, but continued to have the same problem and found out that the issue was not never repaired, forcing us to complete the majority of repairs on our own. REGISTRATION: It took over 60 days to receive our plates.WARRANTY: Paid off RV, requested warranty refund and have been getting the run around since pay off date. Have received nothing but excuses with total disregard to customer needs. Our bad experience started the day of purchase April 2nd 2025 to current date of August 18, 2025.

Please steer clear of Optimum RV in Ocala

My over 80 year old parents went there and bought an RV without my knowledge and was sold a water damaged RV and will not return my calls. The one manager that did told me we could give them another $14,000 on top of the over $20,000 and they would take it back because the deal was already done! This RV was delivered on 4/01/25 and they cannot even live in it, has to be full of mold with water damage in every room!! Seeking an attorney now to deal with these people!!

My experience was a negative as it gets

My experience was a negative as it could be with the Moore Ok dealership. I sold them my RV. We negotiated a price, but when I got there it was a different experience. I got about 1/2 what we agreed on. The worst part is, I had to file Small Claims paperwork to get a check. One excuse after another. The Sheriff delivering paperwork got their attention. I week later I got paid. I won't send my worst enemy there.

Avoid, run, go anywhere else.

This dealer is very deceiving and will lie to you. I purchased a camper and they snuck a $7000 pdi fee. I should have walked then, but that was my mistake. Worst part is they didn't do the pdi. When I picked it up they had damaged it and the most impolite Manager ever, Scott, told me too bad you got a deal. Then they sent me out with a used power cord. It was raining so they put slides in and moved it so we could transfer stuff. The opposing bedroom slides wouldn't close all the way. Turns out there is a switch they didn't wire up that makes sure the bed is up so they don't touch. Dealer didn't even know about it. They also gave me the wrong outside hose, no ladder, broke the microwave tray and didn't tell me. Didn't test anything during the fake $7,000 PDI. Water pump didn't work right, stove had no power, generator didn't run. They said they'd stand behind it but it's been nothing but lies and now no communication. RUN from any Optimum RV dealership.

Beware!

Bought a bumper pull camping trailer. When it came time to tow it away, not a single trailer light worked (including no brake lights). The tech that they sent to help was not that knowledgeable. He started pulling everything apart, until I persuaded him that with absolutely nothing working it had to be the ground (which it was). But then the tail/brake lights kept blowing. They were using 6 volt bulbs ... last car built with 6 volts was in the 1950's so why would they even have them there if it was not for nefarious reasons. He wanted me to leave the trailer for a couple of days so they could "rewire" it. I said no, and figured out a crude work around with the 6 volt bulbs. But while "fixing" it they had also disconnected the trailer brakes. Really guys? How low will you go? We had already spent almost 3 hours it was getting near nightfall. I had to drive the trailer home with no brakes. UNSAFE!

Total junk

To start with they can stop selling factory 2nds as new campers Our Ahara 390ds had over 30 different water leaks, but yet they supposedly inspected it before delivery, upon delivery the front hydraulic jack busted and the replacement one did the same thing .so they took it back and have yet to pay it off and have it on rhe lot for resale while it's still in our name,And management hides behind the salesman instead of doing their job . Then our new camper was delivered and the jacks all buckled because they were undersized for the unit.. Without a doubt the worst RV dealership in the Carolinas... I feel sorry for the sales staff who have zero support from the management. They are the used car dealers of the camper industry . Also the heater didn't work in the back bedroom the floor popped when you walked and the bedrooms slides had frost on them during the cold snap and it's supposed to be a 4 season camper, plus mold was forming in the walls, all this happened between December through January..

Immense Disappointment

I wanted to wait a few days to write this review after the steam blowing out my ears subsided. We thought we found a great deal at Optimum Rv in Pottstown PA. After reading their bad reviews online, we still took our chances and talked to a salesman. Lucas was very good at showing us pictures and videos of the “good side”; he was so kind to leave out all the things wrong with it. We knew it wouldn’t be perfect because of the price, but we’d talked to multiple people at the dealership who all avoided telling us of the major issues, so we headed on the 14 hour road trip (1,800 miles) to buy it. When we showed up to our 9am appointment, the salesman who we’d been dealing with completely avoided us which was concerning right off the bat. We started looking it over and it looked visibly ok until we started checking the electronic stuff like the hydraulic leveling jacks, the breaker system, patches on the roof, etc. It had panels that were pulled off and screws left out, the hydraulic leveling jack screen was disconnected and they said they weren’t sure why/that they hadn’t noticed but in the same conversation said they had ordered a part to fix it??? Lucas even tried to get us to purchase their $1,700 prep fee to have it winterized (while we were on our way there). He told us he checked and it hadn’t been winterized but the prep fee would cover that; this sounded ridiculous so I called the sales manager to see if they winterize campers on their lot, which he informed me they do and that the camper had been winterized. When we arrived I found pink antifreeze in the drains but nothing came from the faucet when I turned it on, as well as water leaking out of the hot water tank. It was just one more lie they couldn’t keep straight. They made us wait 4 hours while they pretended to be working on the hydraulic leveling system (that had probably been chewed up by rodents living in the underbelly). When the service manager finally came in to tell us they couldn’t get it fixed, we could not believe it! We asked why we weren’t made aware of this before we drove 14 hours one-way (1,800 miles total) and his answer was “We’re working on trying to be better about that.” Apparently honesty is not their thing. There were so many things that they could have told us about or included pictures of that they chose not to. The issue was not with just the camper itself, it was the LIES told by their sales team.We emailed the GM to let him know how upsetting this whole deal was, to which his response was “this camper was bought As/Is”. AS/IS?? As far as your AS/IS condition, that was only brought into the equation after a price was negotiated and in good faith that we were told about anything you knew was wrong with it. Show me one picture or text we received about the patches on the roof, the hydraulic leveling system, or the underbelly (that had been patched because of rodents living there). I specifically asked about any issues this camper had because we were driving so far. We did not expect the camper to be in perfect condition, but we DID expect to be made aware of any major issues. These are the most dishonest people I have ever dealt with!!! Brian Tinker
