Review Time
Initially, communication was smooth, and there was optimism about recovering the funds lost due to fraud. However, contact gradually diminished, requiring persistent follow-ups. Rather than addressing all affected parties directly, each case was handled one by one, resulting in unnecessary delays. Despite the effort, the process was unsuccessful, and no funds were ultimately recovered. In the end, it was a waste of both time and money—not recommended.
I was a little apprehensive about using this company after being the victim of a scam. They were very reassuring and professional throughout the whole claim, which only took 3 months to success.Highly recommend this company, quick responses and reasonably priced considering their success rating. Eternally grateful. Thanks Payback!
I was scammed and found it difficult to trust anyone after that but I have to thank the team that was handling my case because they were always here and transparent. We were able to recovered most of my lost funds via my bank and I would genuinely recommend others to use this organisation to retrieve scammed funds.
First contacted Payback in 2021, and was told my case was a slam dunk. Back then Payback charged an upfront fee, which was substantial. I have now had no less that five account mangers, and my case has ground to a halt. I have now contacted a UK legal team and they have told me that Payback have misled me based on what they promised. I'm now in the process of pursuing funds sent to Payback. Only winners are Scammers & Payback. The effect of all this on my life has been awful, and not helped at all by Payback.
I was asked to send many e-mails to all the channels my money went through but nothing. Arthur Sandler was my case manager, I mention his name because Payback asked me to tell it in the review. I have an earlier review with 5 stars because the company asked me to write a review even when non of my money was gained back. After a year they just sent me an email that they would no longer help me, because there was no more response from the companies I sent the emails to; they helped me more then they should have had... and after that they didnt even bother to give me any answer to my question. They just wasted my time and of course my money... I wouldnt recommend.
I hired Payback after being scammed. After a 2-years long process my case manager emailed me saying there's nothing they can do. I payed them thousands of euros in the beginning. After everything I went through I feel like I got scammed by them. I must taking my losses and want to warn people about Payback.
Please do not trust this company or use their service to try and retrieve your scammed monies. They make promises from the start and once you pay their initial service fee all they do is send their pre-prepared template letters to various organisations and regulators in the hope that they will act and retrieve your money. My case has been going for over three years and after the initial six months where their service appeared proactive and provided hope, I then found I was the one being in regular contact with them to seek update on my case. This company pretends to be a tiger with teeth, but actually they have no teeth or authority and solely rely on the regulators and other organisations which they ask you to send the letters to hoping they will get your money back. If this does not occur they do no follow up to any of the letters to the organisations and then they become more distant and their communication basically stops. They moved me from one case manager to the next without any pre-warning and then the same unprofessional lack of service continues to drag your case out. Eventually, when you push back and try to lodge a complaint you receive another letter template stating that they have exhausted all their options and they have closed your case.
Stay away from these company or any one else that allegedly says they will recover your funds. Just like the original scammers, is all a scam too.Their last generic letter to be sent to three different emails, was a rebuttal letter that they forgot to change the bank name from their archive of generic letters and left the name of a real bank called "Rabobank". These is a real bank from the Netherlands. But my bank's name is JPMORGAN Chase bank. When I ask my case manager about these gross negligence, it was just dispatch as a mistyped error and in a few minutes later, they sent it back with the correct bank name.A few days after that, I received the letter from them closing my case, just like the other recent reviews you will see here inTrustpilot. Which meant, they knew the rebuttal letters were worth nothing and will have no real effect, just like all previous letters sent. Because they didn't even had the decency to wait for a reply from the rebuttal letters. One reason for the positive reviews here is because they harras you to write a positive review through calls from other staff members like they did with me, without having received any of your scammed money back. Just based on how nice the case managers have treated you or talked to you. But I told them there will be no review until i see actual results.Last but not least, notice that they have changed their modus operandi and now they offer just a report of your case for x amount of money. Don't fall for it, you will be wasting your money and will regret it 100%. All we can do now is to report them to the FBI web page and pray they get shutdown permanently.
