A Pattern of Empty Promises and Scripted DeflectionAfter publishing my review about my disappointing experience with PayBack Ltd (a 5+ year case that ended in failure and denial of responsibility), I have since seen several other victims posting similar stories, followed by identical, copy-paste replies from PayBack saying the case “doesn’t align with their service” and asking people to “contact support.”........................Please, People, do not become a victim again. Stay away from PayBack Ltd
There wasn't any follow up as indicated in the reply from Payback as below: It was just a pure empty promise, even Turstpilot took the effort to contact them.So in short, don't trust them it will ended another secondary scam. I gave them €4k to retrieve some are all my losses of €40k, they promised and promised said they would not give up.Nothing but BS continually for a year, and then an email saying they were not per suing my case any further.So not only did I lose my initial amount but also their charge of €4k.Please do not get involved with this company they’re every bit as bad as the scammers that did me originally.
I was scammed sometime ago and went originally to a no win no fee company but before I signed up I had two different people asking me the same questions which seemed the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. I searched online and found PayBack and on initial phone call I explained what hand happened and they made me feel at ease as they explained the procedure and how they were going to deal with situation. They eventually managed to recover half the money plus 8% interest, almost 21k. Please note the fos investigator seemed to take forever, but PayBack persevered and got my case to review. Please note this is a marathon not a sprint.
This company is total garbage. They ignore phone calls and emails. They never call back when they say they will.For everyone out there, this company was shutdown by the FBI for their scam. They were able to open back up with a plea deal that they would refund everyone that ask for one. I asked for my refund and it has been almost a year and still no refund. This is such a garbage company.I leave reviews because that is the only way they respond and its with some bs about how what I say is not what they do. I have all kinds of proof and phone logs of them never answering the phone or when they do they give some BS response on, "Someone will reach out soon" which never happens.Stay away from this company. You will be scammed again. They actually dont recover anything. The only thing they rely on is having the victim send threatening letters to financial institutions and thats it. They actually dont try to track down the scammer, because they cant.Learn from my mistake and dont get scammed twice. This company is garbage and fraud.Hopefully the FBI shut them down again and permanently this time.FYI: Dat of experience is the day they answered the phone and gave me the same BS answerAdditional info: they will pry respond to this saying that I'm not calling them or emailing them, but my last rating I did, I had that info in there that I called and emailed and they flagged it. Said it was personnel infor. The info is posted on their website. Again another scammy company.
I was involved in an online fraud scheme in 2023 but after consulting Payback.com at the end of 2024, they have been given me all the support I need and so far I have already recovered about 10% of my losses, which is quite impressive, taking into account the complexity of my case, which still on and hopefully we can manage to recover some more.
