Review Time
Happens every time. The rep will tell you that someone will work on it and they will send you an e-mail when its complete. Never receive an e-mail, have to call back to follow up and of course have to explain the issue all over again. I cringe every time I have to call customer service.
Continued lack of knowledge and trust in the products and services offered. I have several ongoing items that do not have a resolution. No one knows how the product works, they make system changes frequently without a change management plan or understanding dependencies on other features.
Sales people were great and answered all questions; however, implementation was not what I had anticipated or expected. A lot of the functionality was not set up for us, we had to set up ourselves. I would recommend hiring a third party to assist with implementation so you get a working system from go-live. Customer service after go-live is SLOW to respond and generally not super helpful, rather direct you to links on their help page for you to figure things out on your own.
I like the product. It was be nice if some of the streamlining issues were addressed but overall it's a good product. Customer service is lacking. Most of the time I contact customer service for support I am provided with the knowledge base article that I have already followed the steps but I still have outstanding questions or concerns. The back and forth for support is ridiculous. Then when asked to provide a screen shot that I already provided attached to the case is redundant. Customer support feels useless at times as I have to open up a case for a case that was closed before I could confirm the "solution" solved my problem. Every so often I am paired up with a Customer Service agent who is personable and thoroughly enjoys their job. I love working with these few employees as they truly want to help and provide a solution.
On 3/3/26 Case 11850287 Called Paycor regarding the JobcostGL payroll report received following submission of payroll. Explained the report does not balance debits and credits. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and then disconnected. On 3/3/26 Case 11850465 Called back to Paycor JobcostGL payroll report explaining again the report is incorrect. Was placed on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes and then was disconnected. On 3/3/26 Case 11852637 Called back to Paycor again regarding the JobcostGL payroll report explaining again the report is incorrect. Was told it would need to be sent to someone else and should expect a follow up email regarding the case. There was no resolution that could be made that day. I have not received any communication from Paycor regarding the report and in the portal, it states the case was closed forty-five minutes after my call. No detail at all in the notes. The JobcostGL continues to be an issue each pay and I continue to be ignored each time I call with no resolution
When you have to call support, you never know if you're going to get a qualified person or not. Majority of the time, they have no understanding of the issues let alone how to fix them. They treat employers as if they don't know anything and Paycor is never wrong. They have never made a mistake ever! I am keeping a list of all the issues. They try to make it seem like they care, but that is simply not the case.
Here’s the updated review:⭐☆☆☆☆ Stay Far Away — Paycor Will Drain Your Clients’ AccountsPaycor is hands down the worst payroll company I have ever dealt with. They charged my client’s account three times for the same $91.43 bill. Three. Times. When we tried to resolve it, we were given the complete runaround. Their cancellation process is deliberately convoluted, and to make matters worse, they provided wrong information during the process — wasting our time and prolonging the headache. And then, to add insult to injury? They hit us with a $182 “convenience fee” just to close the account. There is nothing convenient about any of this. It’s predatory billing disguised as policy.Oh, and their website proudly boasts “transparent pricing” — there is absolutely nothing transparent about being triple-charged for the same bill and blindsided with a closing fee. That’s not transparency, that’s false advertising.Do yourself and your clients a favor — do not use Paycor. There are far better payroll options out there that won’t hold your money hostage or nickel-and-dime you on the way out the door.
READ before you sign up!Overall, paycor functionality is good for most businesses, but it stops there.Support is AWFUL. Difficult to contact them, slow to respond, and often takes weeks to get an issue resolved. Unacceptable when you are dealing with employee's money if you ask me - support needs to be available and prompt.Customer Service is not good - the sales people promise the world, but the delivery is severely lacking. There is no option to cancel a payrun even within 30 seconds of submitting - they should put a 15-30 minute grace period to allow you to cancel it, like most other payroll providers offer. They claim Job Posting is part of your package. However, when you use their applicant tracking system to post a job, you will get maybe 1-2 applicants vs posting directly on Indeed. If I did it over again, I would NOT sign up with Paycor.
