Pay corps will hook you with small charges. And when you choose to leave, because they're too difficu

Pay corps will hook you with small charges and leave you with big fees.If you choose to leave. They are so compartmentalized that they cannot help you.Unless you are on hold for multiple parts of the company. You're on boarding person will not be the person that handles your issues when they appear.

The promise the world and deliver…

The promise the world and deliver nothing! It has been the worst. Once they get you signed up the customer service is non existent!Do not switch to them. I wish we never would have left Paymaster.

HORRIBLE support

The only positive thing about Paycor, is the system itself. It's intuitive, lots of features, easy to use. Everything else is awful and primarily their customer support (frustrating, enraging, useless). You wait forever on hold only to get someone who has absolutely no clue what they are talking about and puts you on hold to get answers from someone else and then repeats. They also nickel and dime every chance they get. The amount of fees is insane. They even charge us every time we don't have taxes to file for a state on our account "zero state tax return".Got charged a late processing fee when their imports weren't working and I waited on hold over 30 minutes then requested a call back (never got one). They sent us a 940 for a different company. I could go on...I've been cursing their name for a couple years now and we just switched. I kept the account open for months while we made sure everything went smoothly in the new system with the data transition. When that was all set I requested a termination. I was told the chat service couldn't, so I submitted a ticket. The answer on the ticket explained how to go into my company profile and request it there. Paycor asked for a term date so I put the following day. Next thing I know we get an invoice claiming "account closure convenience fee". Apparently hidden in a link in our original terms and conditions it states a 30 day notice is required by either party. However, it doesn't mention anything about a fee, nor was it mentioned in chat or the ticket. I have been arguing with them and they claimed the charge is valid and they sent me a copy of our agreement (where it doesn't state this) and a link to a new updated terms and conditions where the fee is discussed. This was totally different than the terms in our contract that I signed. Unfortunately we had autopay setup so they simply took our money and won't give it back. If you need any type of support, good luck.

When I signed up

When I signed up, I was told they would handle everything so I wouldn’t have to stress and could focus on running my business, things like advertising and growth. That was completely false.Instead of reducing my workload, they created more stress and constant problems. I was repeatedly on the phone or emailing them just to try to get basic issues addressed.I was explicitly told, in writing and during onboarding, that my taxes and workers’ compensation would be handled. I confirmed this multiple times and was repeatedly told everything was “all set.” That was not true.Paycor never ran my taxes. I only discovered the issue after receiving a notice from the state. Even then, they failed to fully correct it and did not handle unemployment taxes. The same thing happened with workers’ comp. I was told it was being taken care of, confirmed it multiple times, and was reassured everything was set. After nearly three months, I found out nothing had been done. As a direct result, I ended up owing over $1,000 and had to go on direct billing, something that should have never happened. The system itself was also unreliable. The time clock for my employees to clock in and out rarely worked. When I reported the issue, the representative did not believe me and instead of fixing it, sent me instructions, even though the issue was clearly on their end. When I escalated the issue, the manager passed me back to the original sales representative. Their “solution” was to have me purchase a real-time clock system costing over $2,000,instead of fixing the service I was already paying for.Customer service is extremely poor across all departments. There is a complete lack of communication, and it takes multiple calls and multiple representatives just to get basic things done. Many of the requests I made had to be submitted multiple times, and resolutions took anywhere from weeks to as long as three months. I was repeatedly told issues were resolved when they were not.Even basic payroll corrections were not handled. I made a mistake on an employee’s hours and spent over two hours on the phone trying to fix it, with no resolution. When I asked to speak to a manager who handles complaints, my emails went unanswered. After multiple calls, I finally got a call back, but there was no accountability or concern, it felt like the issues were dismissed.I also experienced ongoing unprofessional communication. I reported being harassed by a representative and was told it would be handled. Despite multiple complaints, the emails continued. It took hours and multiple representatives to finally reach someone who helped, only to then receive an unprofessional response from a supervisor. On top of everything else, I was charged for services, even after canceling my account on April 1 and not using any services in April, I was still billed multiple monthly fees, including scheduling services.Even more concerning, after canceling, I was informed that Paycor would continue to invoice and debit my account for various fees, including termination and other charges. This is despite not using their services and having already canceled. This company misrepresents its services, fails to deliver on critical responsibilities, overcharges clients, and creates real financial and operational problems for business owners. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind,do not use Paycor.

Paycor was one of the worst customer…

Paycor was one of the worst customer service payroll companies I have worked with. I have worked with 5 different companies and by far they are the worst. They messed up on our taxes 3 times and it took months to get fixed. Also, once you end the contract with them they hit you with a huge fee that is nowhere in the contract. Then when they reach out to them they are so rude and kick you off the system.

OUTRAGEOUS Implementation recovery fee

In a nutshell because this goes back months, but to recap, signed with them in late Feb 2025, implementation was stopped due to their broker, coming back with an increase in benefits they had presented, we picked up again in late Aug 2025. Unfortunately, it was not our intention, but we had to cancel because the benefits presented at the time by their broker, were NOT competitive and would have posed a financial burden on our company. Received an unprofessional email from the person I dealt with for months because it seems he took it personal and failed to understand/care about the financial burden we would have endured if we would have moved forward with them. Then we received an invoice for $18K (taxes included) which would have been half of their annual fee. Minimal work was done during implementation, EE's weren't even loaded. No way does the minimal work they did constitute a fee for HALF of their annual fee.I am currently fighting with their collection dept on this.

From Implementation to ongoing support

From Implementation to ongoing support, Paycor has been subpar. We moved from another payroll company, due to cost and integration of supported services, but we definitely have buyer's remorse. Absolutely horrible customer service!! The implementation team didn't take the time to shepherd the project correctly and then blamed us, as the new customer, for their consistent and egregious errors. Their training is awful, their knowledge guides are awful, their follow-up is awful and the only saving grace, is that the app is easy to use for employees, even though their accruals may be wrong, their point summary may be wrong, and many other issues.

Deserves NEGATIVE Stars

If I could leave zero stars I would. I made the move from ADP to Paycor after the promise of a better experience, and it's been nothing but a hassle since. Paycor failed to make a payment on time to the IRS for our federal taxes (even though they of course swiped the funds from our bank account timely!) and are now trying to say that WE are on the hook for over $5k in penalties that they caused. Support is terrible. Cannot get any responses to any open tickets until you submit a follow-up ASKING for a case status. Had nothing by issues with every report. Customer service is the absolute worst. Stay away from Paycor, unless you want to provide your employees with a less than sub-par payroll experience.

Prepare to be Drained of all your Energy

I believe we were sold a false bill of goods. I've used ADP and my colleague has used UKG and Paycom. All 3 of these are better choices than Paycor. The reviews out here are about poor customer service and getting the runaround. It's all true. We implemented in February and so many problems and complaints from our Admin and client groups. Slow EDI setup connections, missing data, late tax bills causing fines from the IRS, and no one to talk to or if there is a response, it is different every time. This company needs to get it's $#/+ together rather than gaslighting us because we can't read a knowledge article and fix it ourselves.
