Review Time
The shop where I left my bag was closed when I arrived. I had to call the owner to ask him why he wasn’t there to collect my bags. He arrived late, but the everything went ok. The client support was kind and answered me quickly
We got to the storage location and there was no one there. Upon calling the number provided on the app, I guy told us he would be there in 30 minutes, once he got there there was no safe room, we would leave our luggage in an open space with several people coming and going. I asked for support on the app, they were responsive and provided us with an alternative solution. When we got there, our luggage would not fit (we were a very large group with 11 luggages) so I ask for a refund. It has been over 10 days and they have not provided us with a refund yet.
I have tried and tried to get in contact with Radical Storage, emails and chats have got me nowhere. When I picked up my suitcase it took forever for them to find it and when they gave it back it was covered in this oily stuff which has left marks which won't come off, it was very unsanitary. Clearly they do not check the places that they are using, and have a very low standard for what they think is an appropriate storage facility. If I could give 0 I would. Overcharged and extremely disappointed.
First time l'd booked luggage storage with Radical Storage so felt a little anxious, because of the odd past experience elsewhere/abroad with luggage storage not being safe/a scam - BUT really really impressed with Radical Storage and Micklegate News shop in York, near to York train station. So easy to book the storage for my suitcase for the day and £5 for the whole day is brilliant (just to mention, £1.75 booking fee or guarantee or something on top, still brilliant). Really quick and easy drop-off at Micklegate News and they are very friendly there, reassuring manner and so helpful. Immediately wheeled my case to their storage area and brought it out for me when I returned to collect. Case just as I'd left it/excellent condition, as you would expect :) When I return to York next I am definitely booking here again!! Thank you Radical Storage and Micklegate News!!!
We spent almost an hour going up and down of the building to find out the space like luggage storage or any signage associated with Radical Storage...we only get to communicate with email for assistance. After many back and forth of email communication we decided to check the Oki Yakiniku store staff and only find out that's the place ! Our luggage were left at the store front as the restaurant is fully occupied. The staff assured that it will be alright. Glad we got back our luggage after 2 days in good condition.
