Even if you think there is any sliver of a chance that you may not attend your event DO NOT buy the refundable.me insurance as there is a great chance they WILL NOT refund you. It’s not worth paying the extra charge for peace of mind because you will end up not having that and will have paid extra for nothing. We had an event and had a legitimate reason if not being able to attend and they still denied our refund. This isn’t like your normal cancellation insurance that you but for hotel stays or plane tickets…
What an awful company! If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an emergency abdominal surgery a little over a week before the event. I provided a note from my surgeon indicating that I cannot attend the event. So much for a refundable ticket! They hid behind their 60 day window notice. This was something unplanned and unforeseen! It literally states in their terms and conditions “any reason for a refund must not have been foreseeable when you made the booking.” They even asked for an explanation for not notifying them within the 60 day window and they still denied my request! Absolutely shameful company!
If I could give 1 star I would. I had purchased tickets to in June to an event happening in Dec. After booking I had hurt my back and by August was advised of the diagnosis and that I would need to have spinal surgery. I currently have limited mobility and cannot walk unassisted. My surgery date and the recovery period means I will be unable to attend the event as I will be still in recovery and rehab to get mobility back and independence. I have provided this company documentation which feels like an invasion of privacy and all I got back was that due to this being a pre-exisiting injury they would need even more documentation. IT WAS NOT PRE-EXISITING! I have provided them a Dr Certificate as well as imaging reports and even an invoice from my Orthopaedic Surgeon evidencing the date and reality of this. To top this off, they want me to go back to my Dr which not only costs money BUT I’m not supposed to be in a car for anything other than an emergency or medical need. I paid for the refundable option, I have a very legitimate reason I cannot attend! I am now looking into legal advice as well as reaching out to fair trade and relevant consumer protection agencies. Are the staff there really so ignorant to ask me how having spinal surgery means I can’t attend a rock concert. Come on.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this company! What is the point of even purchasing insurance from this company if they are not going to honor their terms and conditions in providing the refund when something does happen. I am still playing games with them to get my refund for the full marathon that is in a couple of days. I sent in appropriate documentation. They then came back to me asking for a doctor's note providing when my injury happened last year, when I reaggravated my injury this year and what happens if I run on this injury for the race. My doctor wrote a note that I then sent to them and they still are refusing to refund me until I provide email more documentation. I feel like they present hurdle after hurdle in order for you to not get your money back. Below is what they asked for and all this information was included and they still want more information after all of this was in the note. Evidence required: Registered Medical Doctor’s note or Medical Certificate confirming: DONEThe details of the illness or injury; DONEThe date it first occurred; DONEThat it prevents the person from Attending the Booked Event; and Proof of relationship if the person is not in the Booking. DONE AND I AM THE PERSON ASKING FOR THE REFUND. This is extremely unfortunate what this company is doing to people who are already stressed and upset enough that they cannot participate in their event, but the hurdles they make you go through is outrageous even after you sent in documentation that they requested of you and still deny you. This is extremely disappointing. Our doctor's do not have time to play your games with more information. They provided the necessary info and when that is provided we should be able to get approved for our refund. I am still waiting. This company needs to be sued. They don't honor their own "terms and conditions." This absolutely insulting what they are doing to me. Never again would I purchase through this company. I am waiting to escalate the issue, but any company that choses to use them is just as much trying to scam their paying parties as they are. I am so upset and will continue to escalate this situation.I will update and change my review from a 1 star if I get refunded which I definitely should be. Best question asked is what happens if you run on this plantar fascia injury that was torn before... ummmm I will not be able to walk without being in pain for the rest of my life or I may need surgery... that should be explanation enough and oh that was in the doctors note as well that was provided to them.
Got the insurance for a day at westonbirt arboretum. Contracted covid and self tested, insurance are not interested without a doctors note. Total waste of time and money as self cert sickness is the most likely reason to claim. Dont bother with this, surprised forestry England use this service
