SCAM alert! Avoid buying refundable tickets from Refundable.me — you will not receive a refund, even in case of an accident. This company requests unreasonable documents that you likely won't have.If you get into an accident, you’ll have to run to the police and try to find documents that you’ll probably never be able to get. That's ridiculous policy.
I havent even been able to get through the form. It says...We cannot find a booking with that reference. Please check your booking confirmation email and re-enter.Don't worry, if your booking reference doesn't work you can select 'Find Booking' and enter your details. When completing the form please upload a copy of your booking confirmation email to help us locate your booking details.I do that, and it says, we need a booking number!! Ive tried the contact form, and it brings me back to the same place... Ridiculous.
BEWAREEEE The most horrible company and scam I have ever come across. We brought refundable tickets to protect us but what’s the point. My family member went into hospital with a life threatening condition and may not survive. I have even provided intimate photos of us and my family member half dead on the hospital bed and THEY STILL DO NOT WANT TO REFUND! This is such a scam and like everyone on here who say don’t purchase from these guys DO NOT BYE REFUNDABLE TICKETS FROM REFUNDABLE.ME!! They are very unethical and insincere. Horrible to deal with and Sarah the customer service is asking me to admission papers from hospital? If they knew anything about the country they’re selling to they’d know Australian hospitals don’t provide admission tickets!Disgusting service and never ever will I get refundable tickets if I see this company!
I am writing this as a follow-up to my earlier review regarding my refund request with Refundable.me (Application Reference: DE15673F), which remains unresolved despite months of communication and full compliance with all documentation requirements. To summarize the timeline for clarity:October 10, 2025: I received an email from Sarah, confirming that my application had been passed to management for review within five working days.October 12, 2025: Heidi, from the Customer Experience Team, confirmed that my refund application was under review and that I would receive an update soon. However, by October 21, 2025, I had received no follow-up. I provided all requested documents and clarifications, yet my claim was eventually denied without clear justification. The final response I received stated that Refundable.me had already provided the service I purchased and that my application was closed. This conclusion does not align with the Terms and Conditions published on their website, which specifically include:“Changes to Examination Dates: Means an unforeseen change to the date of an examination for which You were already registered, resulting in a conflict with the date(s) of the Booked Event.”Refunds are excluded only when the examination is conducted by a commercial business, not by an educational or verification body.In my situation, the visa application examination was officially rescheduled by the visa centre — a recognized examination body. This unforeseen change directly conflicted with my travel date, and I submitted the official documentation confirming the change, meeting all the evidence requirements under Refundable.me’s own policy.Despite these facts, my claim was denied. I have consistently maintained that my case falls clearly under the “Changes to Examination Dates” clause and should therefore qualify for a full refund.Throughout this process, I have experienced long delays, inconsistent communication, and what appears to be a misunderstanding or misapplication of the stated refund terms. My goal is not to criticize unfairly but to highlight that my experience does not reflect the level of transparency or fairness expected from a service designed to protect customers in unforeseen circumstances.I continue to request a fair and transparent review of my claim and a full refund in accordance with Refundable.me’s published policy and consumer protection standards.Name: Hadeeb AfolabiRefund Application Reference: DE15673F
Complete Scam, you pay for the insurance and get nothing. My event is on December 12, 2025. I was furloughed and asked for a refund because I couldn't attend, as the furlough significantly affected us. They as for proof, I send a cut of the paystub showing that it's true and they send me this "Hi Javier,Thank you for reaching out to us.We truly understand how difficult and frustrating this situation must have been for you, and we sincerely empathize with the circumstances you’ve experienced.I have carefully reviewed your application, and while we fully recognize how important this trip was to you, our Terms and Conditions define “Emergency Circumstances” as unforeseen events that are entirely beyond your control and prevent attendance through no fault of your own.Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that we are unable to provide assistance for incidents related to furloughs, government shutdowns, or financial difficulties, as these circumstances fall outside the scope of emergencies covered under our terms. As such, and in line with our refund terms, we are unable to approve your request on this occasion. We understand this may be disappointing and sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause.Thank you for your understanding.Kind regards,Sarah"No, Sarah, unacceptable, I paid extra for the insurance to refund me for emergencies, this is an emergency out of my control.
SUMMARY:A complete waste of money, time and energy. Avoid like the plague. This company/product is nothing shy of a scam, designed to fatigue customers into giving up on pursuing a refund. The ‘complaints team’ you are responding to is AI (which the refund company is particularly secretive about). If you have already purchased the item and are struggling to claim a refund, best of luck and I’ve posted some potentially helpful information below. PROTECT GROUP LIMITEDUltimately, this is a complete scam. Sure, there are circumstances when you may get a refund with ease, but 99.9% of the time they will do their best to justify a lack of refund, whether it’s through secret T&Cs or fatiguing you until you give up. You can get separate, more reliable event insurance elsewhere to my knowledge, and I suspect that if you ever have an issue with other providers, you won’t be arguing with AI trying to resolve things. Just because something is written as a Term & Condition, it doesn’t mean it is binding, and you can certainly challenge the fairness of the term, something which Protect Group takes advantage of you not knowing. (How fair would it be to expect people to only get a refund when they were fortunate enough to have an in-person GP appointment on the day of/before the event, or to get a GP note if they fell ill on a Saturday when the event was on the Sunday?!).Shame on you, Protect Group, for outright deceptive and immoral practices. I really hope people realise how much of a sham, money-making scheme this is before they buy it, amd that one day your immoral and likely illegal practices are exposed. Event tickets aren’t cheap, and you are not only profiting from charging silly sums for ‘refunds’ but from also keeping the money from people you effectively harass into giving up on pursuing their refunds. CONSUMER RIGHTS (ENGLAND & WALES)If you are in England & Wales and you are (like I was) at the stage in which you are considering issuing legal proceedings against Protect Group Limited, some helpful information is listed below. Citizens Advice may also be able to assist you if you need support/guidance with anything if you cannot find free/cheap legal advice and require support.Company Info (at time of writing - October 2025)Company No: 10090344 Address: Suite 3, Indigo Blu, 14 Crown Point Road, Leeds, United Kingdom LS10 1ELLegislation of relevance:(It will ultimately depend on the circumstances of your claim but I found the following to be of help in my circumstances)- Consumer Rights Act 2015 - Part 2, s49 (Reasonable skill and care in providing services), s61-71 (regarding Unfair Terms), Schedule 2 (further consideration of unfair terms)- Competition & Markets Authority Guidance on Unfair Commercial Practice (published 4 April 2025, available by googling). - Limitation Act 1980 (time limits in bringing a claim)I hope you are all successful in your challenges
This is SCAM!!! My husband bought a ticket going back home for an emergency. Also included the cancellation plan just in case he might have emergency before his flight and thought would be able to refund the money. So what happened is he unable to flight back home coz he coz so sick the next day before his flight so after a day or 2 he went to the doctor and ask for medical certificate or note proof that he cannot able to fly that day because he was very sick and doesn’t have energy to go, but this scammers doesn’t want to refund the money since they said that he didn’t get physical exam on the day of his flight but how come he can go to the doctor and get examine that day if he already refuse to get up and go flight back home. They almost close his application since we don’t agree to the $600 refund that supposed to be $1900. Totally scam and so frustrating so we accept the $600 because if we don’t they will totally close the application and move on. We will still make a legal action to refund the rest of the money because its so annoying that they keep scamming more and more people.
Refundable me Don’t be misled, thinking you’re going to get a refund. When you’re buying your ticket and it says Pay extra $25 for fully refundable tickets, so you do because the event was six months ahead. Who reads the fine print Of their terms and conditions as you’re purchasing your tickets that are selling out fast.”AC/DC# foot note Received a call from refundable me in England Will honour there insurance Happy days, got my refund back todayThank you refundable me and trustpilot for the platform
