I purchased tickets to an event and have suffered from stress induced heart failure. I emphasise the word “ stress”. I have provided 2 medical certificates as requested with details that I feel invade privacy rights and still I have not heard from them and I have not received my refund. I will now be contacting fair trading. This is adding undue stress to an already stressful situation and is completely unacceptable.
I would give zero stars if possible. I paid extra for a refundable ticket but it feels like I’m having to jump through hoops to try and get it. surgery means I will physically unable to attend, after sending a hospital letter, they are still demanding more documents from another Doctor which specifically says I can’t attend this event, which I don’t have you know it’s not standard that hospitals add event attendance with surgery details on a letter. I only have the letter from the hospital and to get a letter from my doctor it’s a standard £30 charge which is half of my refund. It’s ridiculous when I have paid for a refundable ticket. The whole thing feels like a complete con. On top of surgery this is the last thing I need I feel so generally stressed and anxious about this and I can’t afford to lose this money.
This company needs to be sued. They don't honor their own "terms and conditions." The response to my request for a refund after a medical emergency was not only poorly written, but absolutely insulting. They implied that I was simply just "choosing" not to attend. I provided three different documents with medical proof and from emergency services and was still denied. Never again would I purchase through this company. I am waiting to escalate the issue, but any company that choses to use them is just as much trying to scam their paying parties as they are. I am so upset and will continue to escalate this situation but if I can warn anyone in the meantime I will.
The worst service which has been given and the government should do something about it. I paid the refundable fee in order to take care of the situation change and should be honoured. So please do not be cheated by this disgraced service!
Booked a ticket for the VITALITY 10k that was in September, back in about March. I almost always err on the side of caution and buy some form of protection, especially when it comes to physical health. Unfortunately I suffered an ankle injury in May, for which I was undergoing physio provided by VITALITY (the race sponsor). By early September it was clear I would not be able to run the race. I went through the refund process, providing the information that VITALITY provide as default. Not good enough. Provide more. Not good enough. Provide more - no idea if not good enough as now refundable.me have ghosted me for 2 weeks (they rejected in the hour prior). If you see the option to “insure” against injuries and get a refund and refundable.me are listed - run - the other way!
Genuinely a horrific company whose staff lack even the most basic of customer service skills. Denied a refund for an event based on medical conditions despite paying extra for refund protection. EDIT - I have finally been awarded a refund, but only after pointing out the fact that refundable were in breach of several UK consumer rights laws. Very disappointing service.
