They are not upfront about the monthly fees. Screwed me out of $20.00 for the kit, because it’s worthless now. Screwed me out another $20.00. Tried to screw me out another $20.00. I sent them an email about unauthorized charges to my debit card. Supposedly, they’re going to refund me $20.00. Tomorrow I will file a police report, contact my bank, and the FTC.

It was fine we ran one test but didn’t know they would charge a monthly fee. We can’t contact them. The number I have from PayPal is disconnected. Funny they say they can’t sell in the USA but apparently they can continue to charge. I used PayPal so I was able to cancel the subscription through them but I am out the first monthly payment and a useless 80 dollar kit

I ordered the Ribbon testing kit on 11/2/25 for $128.50. I am getting charged a monthly fee of $19.99 which I did not sign up for. Only used the test twice. Another SCAM stating it was during checkout. Trying to find where to cancel but of course it is not on the app. So this SCAM got me for almost $200 BUCKS!!! STAY FAR AWAY!!!

The subscription price is fairly well hidden (gray print, following the word FREE!). It's not clear in their ad that the test strips that you purchased are worthless without paying a recurring charge of $19.99 per month. Bummer!

After reading the reply from RibbonCheckup, I have gone back and reviewed their order page. Although it does state, in small gray print, that there will be a recurring charge to use their app for "results interpretation, ongoing tracking, and secure storage... including unlimited telehealth consultations", it is not clear that if you don't want to pay for those services, you will not will be able to see any basic results from the tests that you bought.

I don't need "results interpretation", etc. However, I do expect to see basic results from the test strips that I purchased, without further charges.

I am glad to report that, as a result of this review, the RibbonCheckup people have reached out and provided a satisfactory resolution. I have suggested that they revise their order process to avoid possible negative reviews in the future. By the way, the tests do work and they provide useful results

DO NOT DO THIS! Purchasing the strips is one thing, but they purposely hide the fact that you have to pay $20 a month to use the app to check the strips. You’re locked into a subscription they aren’t good about disclosing. And if you cancel, they tell you to throw your $80 kit away because it’s useless now and can’t be reactivated.

Great testing kit with user-friendly app.

I'm impressed with the kit; it's well designed, making testing straightforward. The mobile app allows you to simply take a quick photo, and it handles everything else. It's comforting to observe what's happening in your body through your urine samples.

Unfortunate Experience with Test Kits

I purchased a set of 12 test kits for $79.99 in November and used one. My plan was to use a test every few months. I didn't realize they charged me $20 in December, and when I noticed another charge in January, I quickly canceled. Unfortunately, this voided the remaining 11 tests I had already bought since an active subscription is required to use them. This feels like a scam. I effectively spent $120 for just one test.

You are billed for a membership before the product even arrives. Additionally, results are only accessible with a membership. It feels like a scam. I advise against it. The money-back guarantee requires you to cover shipping costs. There's no phone number available for support. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Test results were okay, but hidden fees are a concern.

The test results were okay, providing some insights into my health markers. However, the reason for my low rating is the unexpected $20/month subscription fee that was not clearly communicated at the time of purchase; if it was mentioned, it was in very fine print. Even external sources suggest that all results, support, and app usage should be free. It feels deceptive to conceal this information and then impose a monthly charge. Overall, I don't appreciate health services attempting to take advantage of me financially. I plan to cancel after the first month.

AVOID THIS SERVICE AT ALL COSTS. I placed an order for a "trial" about six weeks prior to the holiday season. Knowing I would be leaving the state on 12/12, I ordered well ahead of time. As my departure date neared and my order was delayed, I attempted to cancel it. I informed them that I would be away for nearly a month and did not want the package left unattended. The company replied with a vague message about the delay. Despite my repeated requests for a refund, they ignored my concerns. While seeking a refund, I was surprised by an unexpected "subscription charge" that I was unaware of. I had already paid for the initial order, which never arrived, and now I was being charged monthly. I tried to cancel through my debit card, but that didn't work. Eventually, I managed to cancel with the service, but I never received a refund for the original order. They suggested I "check with my neighbors." I am determined to pursue this refund, but in the meantime, please avoid this service to prevent similar issues. I couldn't find any customer service number, and I discovered their headquarters is located overseas.
