Love love love my RJ Living items. Great quality, and they make my spaces look amazing. Exceptional value for money. Service and delivery excellent. Kept up to date with the ETA of my items. Were delivered and installed perfectly. They even took away the rubbish!
In May I ordered a Settle desk (in stock) which eventually was delivered in late June. Apparently the warehouse was being relocated so customer orders were not shipped. There was no communication.The desk is solid timber and well constructed. The aesthetic is let down by the lower grade timber on the surface which has numerous unattractive knots. I would consider the quality to be a little above the Ikea solid timer pieces at a disproportionate higher price point.Interesting when I attempted to leave a review that was. Less than 5 stars it didn’t appear on the website as the reviews are managed by a marketing company.I would have given RJ 4 stars if not for my and others similar experiences, lack of transparency and their selective filtering of reviews.
Have waited 6 months for our new table for only the base to be delivered. RJ Living is unable to locate where the top of the table is located, cannot provide an ETA and their warehouse is closed. Serious concerns about this companies ability to deliver on it's purchases.
We were happy to be able to see the item in the Hawthorn store, order on line and wait 4 - 6 weeks for the items to be available. However coming closer to the expected delivery date we could not find anyone who could let us know the date of delivery. Additionally, the date on line for delivery with the order changed regularly with no explanation, sometimes more than once on the same day. In frustration we contacted a local person who endeavoured to do their best to assist us with a delivery and they seemed to be no wiser than us. Out of the blue after numerous telephone calls we got a messafe from a delivery company checking that a delivery date was suitable. This was confirmed on the same day, and we did finally take delivery in September. Our unit was on a truck with other units and ours had a packing slip with a different name and address. I was assured this would not be a problem because all units on the truck were the same.I made contact with the local person to thank them for their help and advise that the unit was delivered on Sept 2nd - (12 weeks from order date) They seemed surprised that the delivery had taken place and thanked me for the feedback. It seems to me there is a disconnect between the call centre in The Phillipines, the store in Melbourne, the delivery company and the information on ETA on line. As a consumer this is very unsettling and confusing not alleviated by any telephone conversations, particulaly when we had paid for the unit in full on June 10th. I am pleased to say the unit is in place in our home and does enhance the room, but the experience between July (when we expected delivery) and September could have been a lot better.
