I have ordered online from Etsy, eBay, and Amazon, and discovered today that Ruby Lane has a similar format of handling items from many independent dealers, something like the Antiques Malls that are disappearing. I saw a miniature Steiff teddy bear I liked from Oldeclectics and have ordered it to see how Ruby Lane compares to Etsy and eBay. (Both of those have generally been satisfactory to very good, one disaster in each, an item that never arrived, which I reported and my money was refunded, and a few other minor problems easily sorted out). Now I am waiting for my first Ruby Lane Oldeclectics owner/dealer contact so that I can pay and have the teddy bear shipped. I’m sure it will be fine, and will result in a positive review. This is my first experimental order with the Ruby Lane group of dealers. So far, so good. This is just a preliminary review. The ordering process was straightforward, and the items offered for sale were nicely described and clearly photographed.
I have made a couple of purchases in the past 2 or so years. I have purchased vintage jewelry at Rubylane and have been very pleased with them. I have found some reasonable prices but in searching the website for vintage jewelry I find the prices very high in general. I will continue to be a Rubylane shopper.
