Pleasant staff made it easy

Pleasant staff made it easy. Whole process took several minutes on the phone. Information was straight forward, not complicated. Thanks for a good experience again. I've sold before.

Processing Time for Gold Buyback

I realize SD Bullion folks are probably very busy now with the rise of gold. However, I don't believe that is a reasonable excuse for the protracted time it has taken to complete the sales transaction. The original sales agreement was relatively fast and accommodating. FedEx retrieved the package about 4 days after initial contact. Processing and verification took about 5 days, which seems excessive. Communication was also slow. Given the value of the transaction I would have liked a little more hands on. Now I'm told it's going to take an extended amount of time to transfer the funds. So roughly 20 days to complete buyback. Too long.

SD Bullion ripped me off

SD Bullion ripped me off on a $509 order of silver dimes that I placed, paid for and never received . No refund no re-shipment no help at all. Just my loss and 500 bucks represents a significant investment for someone of my limited means SD bullion does not care about its little people customers do not trust them with your money.

Scam - avoid this company

SD Bullion is operating a scam. I purchased a coin that was advertised as "almost uncirculated," and "free from material defects." SD Bullion delivered a materially damaged coin, that did not comply with the listing. SD Bullion subsequently changed the website description, and is refusing to honor the agreement. SD Bullion won't provide the original listing for the coin purchased. Others have complained that SD Bullion ships defective coins. I am suing the company for fraud and reporting them to the state Attorney General. If you have a similar problem with them, i encourage you to do the same. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

SD BULLION ON THE DECLINE

I have been buying off this company for years. I initially chose them because of the great customer service, speedy shipments, competitive pricing, etc..Unfortunately, now that there’s a gold and silver boom going on, the service is really on the decline. At this point, I can tell they don’t value long term customers at all. I really thought I would be buying from them the rest of my life but I’m currently looking for a new dealer. Maybe things will get better again, but the only response I ever get from them is “We have high volume, sorry for your experience, blah blah blah.”They don’t actually do anything to fix the problem. I am a business owner and I can tell you, if business picked up that much, I would be actively expanding my team to accommodate the need. All in all, good company, reliability on the decline. PS- If you need someone who will actually help you at SD, ASK FOR JEFF. He’s the only one I talked to who actually cares about customer experience. If I had a direct connection to him every time, I’d have no problems.

Very slow to process and ship irders…

I have been a customer of this company for about 2 years. The time it takes them to process an order and ship it is getting longer and longer. It’s taking them 14 days plus just to acknowledge that the orders are shipping. And then another 5 to 10 days before we actually receive our order. Seemed like a good convenient way to buy Silver since I wasn’t really worried about small differences over spot cost. However, waiting a month to get my purchase is getting a little annoying. I’m considering just going to a local dealer and buying my silver where I know exactly what I’m paying and I walk out the door with it in my hand. Cost is not that much different and I can immediately go into their store and buy Silver when Silver drops in Price.

Long-Time Customer

Long-Time Customer, Growing ConcernsI've been a customer of SD Bullion for some time and have invested many thousands of dollars through their platform. While they've historically provided competitive pricing, recent experiences have significantly diminished my confidence in their operation.Repeated Shipping Disputes On multiple occasions, shipments have been returned to SD Bullion. Each time, they eventually agreed to reship at no cost to me—but not before requiring 2-3 emails and sometimes a phone call to resolve what should be straightforward customer service. This pattern of making customers fight for reasonable accommodation wastes time and demonstrates poor operational procedures.Quality Control Failure Most recently, I received an order where items that should have been sealed in their original assay packaging were found loose in the shipping box. This is unacceptable for precious metals that derive part of their value from being in certified, untampered condition.Inadequate Resolution While SD Bullion offered to replace the damaged items and provided a $20 credit toward future purchases, this response falls dramatically short for someone who has spent thousands with them. The nominal credit suggests they don't value long-term customer relationships proportionate to actual business conducted.Failed Christian Business Ethics The owner promotes his Christian faith, including sending Scripture verses with shipments—something I appreciated as a fellow believer. However, when I requested he reach out personally to resolve these recurring issues, I've received no response for over a week. This disconnect between professed values and actual business practices is deeply disappointing. Christian business principles should mean going above and beyond in customer care, not avoiding accountability.Bottom Line For new customers seeking competitive prices, SD Bullion may seem attractive. However, their handling of issues, quality control, and customer service recovery leaves much to be desired. When problems arise, expect to waste your time fighting for basic service, regardless of your purchasing history or the owner's stated values.I'm now exploring alternative dealers who align their business practices with their professed principles.
