Very disappointed with Kenwood in 2025/26. I was given a Kmix Stand Mixer for Christmas in 2025, after hearing from my grandmother that Kenwood was a reputable and reliable brand for mixers (she has used Kenwood for most of her adult life).

Unfortunately my mixer is already broken. Whilst kneading some bread dough (well under the maximum capacity specified by Kenwood), the mixer started producing a horrible metallic grating/clunking sound which followed the speed setting of the mixer. Very disappointing after not even two months - I used it maybe 3/4 times max.

I then took this up with Kenwood, who offered a repair (again disappointing given the age of the product). I was told it would be repaired by their approved 3rd party repairs company - Staffords. A quick search of the company provided less than encouraging reviews with many people complaining (with photo proof) of repairs not being completed, and physical damage to their appliances. This does not just include mixers, but coffee machines, hoovers, etc. They refused any other solution, so I am left sending my month old mixer to a company with shady reviews for repair - brilliant!

Disappointing experience with a faulty mixer

I purchased a stand mixer in September for £200. After just a month of regular use, it developed a fault, leading to nothing but stress, wasted time, and frustration. The seller refused to provide a refund and shifted the responsibility to the manufacturer instead of addressing the issue with the defective product. The manufacturer promised to repair it, but that promise proved to be empty. They scheduled a collection four times, and I spent four full days at home waiting, but no one arrived. There were no calls, no explanations, and no apologies. Reaching the manufacturer is nearly impossible. Countless phone calls went unanswered, and I received no replies, updates, or resolutions—just complete silence. The seller also distanced themselves from the situation, even though the item failed shortly after purchase. Neither company seems to care once the transaction is complete. I truly regret purchasing this mixer. £200 down the drain, weeks of stress, and I'm left with a defective product and no refund. Definitely NOT recommended. Poor product and even worse customer service. At this point, I’m at a standstill and will attempt to reclaim my money through a payment platform, as neither the manufacturer nor the seller has taken responsibility. Steer clear of this product and these companies unless you enjoy wasting your time and money.

Disappointing Quality and Service

It’s disappointing to see that this brand, once known for its quality, has lost its touch. We bought what we believed was a stylish kettle for £39, discounted from £55 through their online store. Sadly, the kettle has a design flaw; the trim at the bottom isn’t built to handle even minor water exposure, leading to bubbling and peeling. Ours began showing these issues within just 8 months. Many other customers have shared similar experiences. While flaws can occur, reputable brands take responsibility and address the issues, but this brand seems to have strayed from that standard. When we reached out for support, even within the warranty period, they failed to recognize the issue and offered no replacement or solution. It’s disheartening to see a brand neglecting its product quality and customer satisfaction.

Terrible customer service - both chat and phone support

Extremely poor customer service through both chat and phone. I'm still waiting 20 days for a refund, which should have taken no more than 7 working days after they received the items. It's been an additional 4 working days without any money returned. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift from my husband to assist with my health issues, and now it feels like a nightmare. I cannot recommend this to anyone. Please steer clear!

Disappointing Experience with Delivery

Ordered a kettle on 26/11 with a promised delivery of 3 to 5 days. I had to follow up for a confirmation email. The delivery service struggled to locate the address and then falsely claimed delivery with a photo of their depot. I spent over an hour on three separate online chats since their phone lines were unavailable. They mentioned they would escalate the issue internally and promised a confirmation email due to a change in the delivery address. Nearly three weeks have passed without any email. I finally managed to reach a customer service representative by phone, who agreed to escalate the situation. I requested compensation, but it was not granted. I am still without the kettle and no closer to knowing when it will arrive.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I ordered a stand mixer through social media, but shortly after, I found a different model that I preferred. Immediately after receiving my order confirmation, I requested to change my order to the preferred model, as both were priced the same. I attempted to reach out via online chat but received no response. After waiting until the next morning, I tried again and was told someone would get back to me within 72 hours—no one did. I also sent a message through the online service and received a ticket number with a promise of contact, which never happened. Despite multiple attempts to communicate through various channels, the only response I received was an acknowledgment of my request, with no follow-up. The next notification I got was that my order had shipped, and it arrived on time, leaving me with a mixer I don’t want. I haven’t even opened the box due to my disappointment. I considered returning it but worry about the possibility of getting a refund given the poor service. It’s incredibly frustrating not to be able to call and speak to someone directly. I would not recommend ordering anything from this company.

Extremely Frustrating Experience

I rarely write reviews, but I am very frustrated with the situation caused by the company's mistake! I received the wrong order instead of what I requested. I ordered a kettle and toaster but got glasses instead, which were said to be part of a promotion. The first representative could not explain the mix-up. I was assured my correct order was still on the way, but upon tracking, I found that only the glasses had been delivered. The next day, I contacted customer service again and was informed that an investigation was needed, which could take up to 10 WORKING days for a response! I am left without my money or my order. A reputable company would resolve this immediately by issuing a refund or sending a replacement order, while conducting their investigation on their own time. They are holding my money and order for potentially 10 working days. I expressed how unacceptable this is, given that the mistake was theirs, and I requested to speak with a manager multiple times, only to be told to follow procedures. I understand mistakes happen, but the way this has been handled is shocking, showing no consideration for my situation, especially since this was a time-sensitive gift. Now, I am left without my order or refund while they address their error—how is that fair?! I am furious and cannot believe the treatment from what I thought was a reliable company. Be cautious that you may be left to deal with the consequences of their mistakes.

Unacceptable Treatment Due to Their Mistake

I usually don’t write reviews, but I am extremely upset about my experience caused by the company's error! I received the wrong order entirely. I ordered a kettle and toaster but got a set of glasses instead, which I was told was part of a promotional offer. The first representative couldn’t explain how this happened or why my order was missing. I was assured my correct order was still on its way, but tracking showed only the glasses were delivered. I suspect I was misled to end the chat. The next day, another representative told me that an investigation was necessary, which could take up to 10 WORKING days! I am now without my money or my order. A reputable company would resolve this immediately by refunding or resending the order while handling their investigation separately, as the fault lies with them, not me. They are holding my money/order for up to 10 working days. I expressed how unacceptable this is since the error is theirs and asked to speak with a manager multiple times, only to be told to follow procedures. I understand mistakes happen, but the handling of this situation is shocking, showing no regard for my circumstances, especially since this was a gift with time constraints. Now I am left without my order or refund while they sort out their mistake—how is that fair?! I am absolutely furious and cannot believe the treatment from what I thought was a reputable company. Beware that you may be left to deal with their errors.

Terrible Customer Service Experience

I purchased a kettle and toaster from the company earlier this year; they sent warranty details right away, which initially made me feel positive. However, when I reported my broken toaster in October, I faced numerous issues. I waited beyond the suggested 2 weeks and received an email stating the account was not monitored. After several phone calls with long wait times, I finally spoke to someone who assured me a replacement was on the way, labeled as 'urgent.' I assumed urgent meant a few days, but was later informed it meant 8 working days. A week later, nothing had arrived. After another long wait for online chat, I was told the issue was raised, but I still had no clarity on my replacement. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU'RE PREPARED TO DISPOSE OF YOUR ELECTRICAL GOODS WITHIN MONTHS OR SPEND HOURS TRYING TO GET A REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING.
