I've had several severs shared and dedicated servers and haven't really had many issues with the hardware or network.
The support staff, however, are generally unhelpful and provide the briefest of responses and fail to acknowledge issues with their own system e.g. bandwidth usage resting on the wrong day, apps not working and the support staff just saying 'It looks ok from here'.
As shared servers don't provide root then this level of support isn't good enough.

I tried to open a seedhost account, when i tried to log in it would not work it said my details were wrong. I reversed the Paypal payment and tried again. Speedhost took my first months payment but still did not activate my account, instead sending me an abusive email demanding more money.
TLDR - Don't choose Seedhost unless you want to get kicked off for simply expecting a paid service should function as advertised. After months of good service my seedbox started to crash even though I had 180GB of storage left. Support were very unhelpful failing to do even the most basic of investigations like checking logs - all the while denying there was a problem even when provided with proof. They were also giving answers that suggested they only ever read back the last message in the thread minus all of the prior context which was infuriating as it led to circular conversations, the support team clearly lack even the most basic of training. The next day the issue disappeared and I was able to use 100GB more storage but the issue returned at 80GB, staff remained very unhelpful and even very rude at times - again failing to admit there was any issue. They finally offered a reason for the problems but it didn't make any sense and when I asked for clarification they refused to acknowledge. In general I felt like staff were purposely stalling as the platform was clearly having problems that they lacked competence to investigate or fix, and rather than be honest on this they took it out on me - the customer. When i called them out on their unhelpful communication they cancelled my account rather than admit fault.Thankfully I was able to migrate over to a much bigger and so far excellent seedbox with a different provider and the bonus is it ended up being for a much better price than I was planning to pay them for less storage, as I was very close to upgrading my package before this happened. Thanks for saving me money SH!
I couldn't be happier about Seed Host.I've been with them for 6 months so far, and have had 3 dedicated servers, seamless upgrades, timely refunds and smooth reinvestment transitions as better hardware became available with of course, 0 loss of data. You need to be transparent with their support when you want to plan an upgrade, so they know not to cancel your old server until you get your new one set up.Just let them know what you need, and they're very supportive and happy to help. They use dedicated rentware from Lease Web in The Netherlands and are a family run business based out of Poland.I also have tried their shared seed box managed apps, and these are also fantastic. But you do not get root access with those, however every torrent based app I installed worked extremely well. And I never experienced any problems or data loss there either. What I really love about Seed Host is the way they do billing. All of their servers go month to month, but you can add months in advance if you want to by credit, pay pal or bit coin. And I've found that everything is working well. You might have to go into your account details area and enable notifications by email so you don't forget when an invoice is dew. Other than that, I think they're an awesome company. They do allow you to generate sub accounts in your dashboard, but I wouldn't recommend those because you can't delete the account slot, however you can update its details at any time if you needed to.I wish they had more support during American working hours, because it's always very early in the morning when they're online and responding to tickets. But other than that, I've found them to be extremely professional and kind to me.Compared to the competition, they offer better functionality for the cost when seeing how other providers manage server resources elsewhere. They are very reasonable, and they are so loved in fact by their customer base, that their plans are sometimes out of stock due to customer interest alone.I feel very fortunate and blessed to have found this hidden gem online, and foresee a very prosperous happy future with this company for years to come. I use my dedicated server in a lot of ways, not just torrenting, and it is helping me generate a bit of extra income for a couple of domains on the side. They are well worth your investment if you're patient, and like self hosted, unmanaged service for anything to do with data you own and update yourself.Pro tip...if you need automatic backups of your data, configure your server in Raid 1. They give you more than enough storage to handle any backups in this case, and if you ask support to migrate the data from this specific configuration to a fresh install, they'll do it for you no problem as long as you don't reinstall or update any OS files beforehand. If you're someone who needs a bit more personalized hand holding support, I would recommend you look elsewhere than Seed Host. Because this company shines best for self hosted unmanaged service at unbeatable prices for what you get.Seed host is designed for the mature and seasoned veteran of the internet to manage data and most technical solutions that the customer keeps private. This may not be a right fit for you if you are uncomfortable with knowing your way around SSH or torrent app interfaces. But for me, it fits my needs, I appreciate self hosted freedom and will always be thankful for the service I have with them.
Warning: Be cautious! cautious!Don't get caught up with these people. They will just see the pending invoices, but when you try to pay, the site automatically signs out. When you add funds, you will see another pending invoice. DO NOT SHARE YOUR CC DETAILS HERE!!!
Seedhost have been my go-to seedbox provider for the last seven years. I have tried many many other companies, but for speed, value for money, disk space and customer service seedhost are hard to beat. I currently have four seedboxes with them, one on yearly rental, one on a 3 month contract, and two on month-to-month. It's fair to say I'm a fan!
