Company Does Not Do As They Say

Sold stocks and selected for them to be direct deposited into my accounts. Per the company website these should be directly deposited w/in 2 business days. Contacted shareowneronline as deposit had not happened after 3 business days. I was told they had issues with direct deposit (it’s Bank of America, never have issues with anyone else) & a paper check was sent and it would be another 7 to 10 business days. Initial person I spoke with I could not understand with an extremely thick accent. The next lady told me they don’t notify if issues with direct deposit and just take it upon them to mail a check. The shipping method they utilize is just regular US postal service with no tracking information. This companies methods are extremely concerning and all the reviews seem to express the same thing. Avoid if possible…..

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! THEY REFUSE TO TELL YOU ANYTHING!

They will not disclose the most basic of information about your assets to you. AVOID USING THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS!

THE WORST

This company is the WORST and could care less about it. They have been holding my deceased cousins stocks hostage for months, as the value continues to decline.Do NOT entrust them with your assets.

Crappy service at its finest

If you want lousy customer service, if you want to be berated, treated poorly, repeated reasonable requests completely ignored then this is the company for you. If you want good customer service, it ain't happenin' here. A BIG YUCK!

When I sold my stocks

When I sold my stocks, I set up direct deposit. A week later when it wasn't showing up, I called and asked when I should expect to see it. They explained that they mailed me a check and to expect it in 10 additional days. I asked why they didn't direct deposit it or let me know if there was an issue, and they did not have an answer. My bank is about 200 miles away, so this has become very inconvenient and caused a lot of delays. I still don't know the issue either, so they are not very helpful and I can foresee problems the next time I go to sell or buy. I will be bringing this to my companies attention.

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs. This business makes it as expensive and time consuming as possible to sell shares. Then they send a check when the sale instruction is for payment to be via EFT. Unlike every other business, they can't seem to cancel a check and instead want to charge an additional $139 USD to rectify the mistake they made.Every interaction over the phone is frustrating and after 17 days I am still waiting for a response to a written message. Worst customer service ever. I can't believe reputable businesses such as Procter & Gamble have a business like this representing them. Their processes are antiquated and designed to make you abandon rather than sell shares.

If I could give negative stars

If I could give negative stars, I would. You call to get help and talk to someone who tells you that they can only help you via the mail. Anyone who you get on the phone can't seem to answer questions or perform any action without putting the call on hold (sometimes for an eternity). Then they come back to tell you that you have to contact them by mail. What a joke. Words to the wise. Do not invest in any company that has EQ as the transfer agent

Needed help with a document, simple right? NOPE

Needed help with a document. They claim their "policy" does not allow them to help people who don't know their account number, except by mail. I explained that I needed the documented immediately and they gave zero shits. Policies are not laws, there is ALWAYS a way to help a customer, they just choose not to.

My husband recently passed away and he…

My husband recently passed away and he had shares wih GE AEROSPACE, which are held/controlled by EQ in the USA. Trying to get them transferred is nothing short of a nightmare. EQ send you information of what you have to do, but it's totally confusing. They say call us for help, what a joke, when you call them for help its less than useless they then tell you to mail them, you email them with questions and they respond with please call us for help!! To add to this it's just so antiquated everything is by fax!! Or postal service, I mean come on we are in the age of electronic transfer! Awful way to deal with bereaved people, it would be a nice thing if you had a dedicated team to deal and help people in a situation where I am right now. Your company and service are nothing short of a disgrace.

One star is too good for them!

We sold stock on April 9 2025. It is June now and we still haven’t received a check. Company refuses to direct deposit. Called multiple times for help and no one has been able to. The “Specialists” that are supposed to call back never do. We have been hung up on by call takers. We’ve heard the lie of “You check will come in 10 business days” for 2 months now.
