Poor service from Shareowneronline

Poor service from Shareowneronline. Since my shares have been administered by Equiniti, the customer service went out of the window. Not reliable, minor sign-in and access problems, repeated need to call for mailing of codes, delays in access of records, online service errors, etc, etc. No customer would choose to transfer admin from the share company to Equiniti and Shareowneronline! Terrible problems!

If there was an option to rate…

If there was an option to rate Shareowner Services a negative 3, I would! It is absolutely exhausting to deal with them. Dealing with them is equal to a game of "wack-a-mole" POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Incorrect and incomplete information given. They are a disgrace how they treat a family after the death of the family member that owned stock. I have tried repeatedly to resolve my father's probate estate for over a year and I have not resolved this yet. Read the reviews. Shareowner Services should not exist. I'm in for a class action suit

Inefficient, incompetent, borderline dishonest firm

Inefficient, incompetent, borderline dishonest organization. My mother passed away on November 7, 2024. It took literally three months of repetitive submission of Letters of Instruction and Stock Power forms to effect ownership transfer and sale of three securities managed by this firm. Their telephone agents speaking variably comprehensible English and cannot answer the most basic of questions. Voided checks were submitted with their "Sale After Transfer" forms to allow for wire transfer of sold shares, but instead they mailed checks...which as is the case for everything they send by mail, they use pre-sorted first class mailings which no doubt save money but result in ten business days to be received. I have reported them to the SEC and New York State Department of Financial Services to ensure that their unacceptable business practices are documented.

Same as everyone else has stated here

Same as everyone else has stated here. This company is a joke. Worst of the worst and they don't seem to care. Keep right on feeding you BS knowing that you know they're full of BS. Apparently no one is watching the kids and they're running amuck.

Cretins

Contact with these cretins in the US is only possible via an online portal. They send cheques in $ which cost more to process via UK bank charges than the cheque value. They withhold US tax but the tax certification link to confirm your UK address does not work ! They expect customers to FAX stuff to them FFS ! All this crap for 19 poxy shares with Sunrise, a spin off con from Liberty Global and the old Cable and Wireless shares, which are now worthless.Update on 8th January'25 I can access the tax status link which is so complicated that it rejects my application. When told to email a dept in Switzerland regarding the payment cheques, they reply that it is nothing to do with them !!!! Utter tossers 18/1/25 having been given an email for sunrise, they fob me off by saying contact them via their portal ~ which they deliberately ignore. 31/1/25 they are 3 emails and 3-4 days late when they reply by copying the same BS which I have told them does not workUK CEO Paul Lynam does not have the courtesy or professionalism to respond !!Utterly putrid vile company to deal with

Horrible company

had stock in a company that used to use Compuershare and now they company is using EQ Shareowner services. In the transfer of the stock from one company to the next EQ transposed a Social Security number was input incorrectly and EQ will not own up to their mistake and correct the problem. Now I am having to jump through hoops with the SS Office to correct. Horrible customer service and horrible company. Other companies should not use them. Stay with Computershare or the company you are with.

Incompetent & negligent customer service

Terrible experience!!! Customer service team is not based in the US and their training deficiencies have caused significant delay to my transaction. I think we should file a class action lawsuit! As I told them yesterday, their antiquated system is SETUP to delay the process of transferring and/or selling stock! I’ve been trying for months to resolve this issue and am still waiting on them to return the transfer package i submitted on 12/7. All is done by snail mail, you will wait minimum 10 business days for their mail to arrive. If you can, pull your money out of this shareholder immediately and go elsewhere. But good luck getting your money .. what a mess

EQ Shareowneronline system not working!!

I have 8 custodial accounts with EQ Shareowneronline. I have one for each of my grandchildren and I periodically buy Proctor and Gamble stock for them. I opened the first account about 15 years ago when Computershare was the agent Proctor and Gamble used for their DRIP accounts. They later switched to Wells Fargo and then to EQ Share. Things worked well for several years. I would place a buy order online and give them the dollar amount I was buying and my banking information. They would make the purchase and take the dollar amount out of my bank account plus a $1 transaction fee. In December 2024 I was buying more P&G stock for each of my 8 grandkids as a Christmas gift. Seven of the orders went thru with no problem. The 8th order kept getting a message that the order could not be placed at this time. I tried several times without success before calling their "customer support" line. They acknowledged they were having a system problem but couldn't say when it would be fixed. Their solution was for me to mail them a request with all my information and a check for the amount I was buying plus a $5 processing fee. I decided to give them some time to fix their problem and try again later. Over the next several weeks I kept trying to place a buy order without success. I finally got an order to go thru in late January. Since I thought the problem was fixed I tried to place a buy order for one of the grandkids that has a early February birthday. That order also gave me the same error message about not being available at this time. I have tried several time since then with no luck. I have called "customer service" several times about this and gotten no answers as to what the problem is or when it might be fixed. My next step is to close all 8 accounts and find a new company that offers a DRIP purchase plan thru a different agent than EQ Share. Has anyone else experience this problem? I know there are many companies that offer DRIP account options but I am finding many of the better options are also managed by EQ Share. Any other option suggests?

What a swamp

Tried to sell shares and they sold wrong number of shares and from the wrong account. After a month of trying to figure out the problem using phone calls and E-Mail, they denied of any wrong doing. Customer service absolutely clueless. Never had such a bad experience.
