A sharp washing machine that I bought in July 24.from currys in Waterford Ireland will not turn on.I rang currys waited over 30 minutes on the phone only to be informed they do not deal with Sharp repairs . Could not tell me who to contact . Eventually found an email address no response . Found a phone number which stated Irish number . It would not connect . It was 0333 number . Eventually put UK country code in and after 20 minutes got a reply only to be told that the earliest repair.would be 27 th December . I said I could not wait that.long .I live in a rural area . Told I would be put through to admin . Eventually got through to admin who told.me that it had nothing to do with them . They put me back to switch board . Told to press button 4 . It would not connect . Eventually gave up . WORST customer service I have ever experienced . I now have spent several hours trying to get a repair which I still have not got .
I have purchased 2 Sharp TV’s over the past few years, 2nd by accident as forgot the first 1 plays up. The first Smart TV the remote stopped working to turn tv on & off, have to use the button at back of tv. As the remote does operate other feature. Newest Sharp TV purchased just over a year ago, is a nightmare, if you use the tv guide to change the channel there is no volume, you have to then turn the tv off & back on again. Apart from it losing connection from internet all the time, Sharp TV’s are not worth the money you pay for them, as any payment is a loss when the TV does operate as it should.I will never purchase a Sharp TV ever again poor
Utter rubbish. Rang sharp about an e-scooter and these things are hitting the £500 range. The handlebar stem has snapped on the weld and they will not do anything about it as it’s not the electrical part. I asked where I can buy a replacement part and was told that they don’t do replacement parts at all. So for £500 they do a rubbish job at welding and then laugh as you have to but a new scooter!
Informed customer services of a slow reacting TV. They sent software which stopped the TV working altogether. Despite being within the guarantee, they refused to send an engineer or provide a replacement. Cannot recommend product or customer services in any way. Would advise considering alternative options if looking to buy a TV.
I bought a Sharp integrated fridge in September 2022. In August 2024 it started to freeze up, forming a thick wall of ice at the back of the fridge, and freezing the contents, which had to be thrown out. I phoned Sharp to inquire about a repair. They were very helpful, telling me that my fridge came with a 2 year warranty and that I was covered. An engineer from Pacifica came out and fitted a new thermostat. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem. A second engineer visit was arranged, and this time I was told that the fridge was not repairable. So far so good in terms of customer service, but it went downhill from here. Pacific emailed me with an "uplift code", with no guidance on what this meant, or what to do with it. Fast forward several emails, and many repeated attempts to get hold of Sharp customer service, without success (they literally don't answer the phone). Eventually spoke to someone at Pacifica, who told me I needed to give the uplift number to the retailer, who would replace the fridge or refund me. Needless to say, the retailer - Blue Moon Appliances - although friendly and polite, were adamant that it was not their responsibility, there was "nothing we can do", and that it was Sharp/Pacifica's responsibility. Back I went to Pacifica, and you can guess their response, they told me to go back to the retailer. I chose not to continue with this battle as I value my mental and physical health too much to deal with these companies who are only bothered about filling their own purses. So essentially I have a fridge that is now just over 2 years old, which thinks it's a freezer, and neither the manufacturer nor the retailer care in the slightest, because they've got their money... Avoid!!!
