I normally prefer Shell to other fuel stations. But Shell Erith is an abomination. I came here to buy petrol. Saw an offer for Strongbow at £5 in the shop and so grabbed two packs of those.At the till they were £7. I said they’re advertised for £5. They refused to acknowledge they made an error and mis-advertised and refused to sell at the advertised price. Spoke to Maran at the till. Not even an apology offered.Called out the manager Vije who was even less helpful and outright rude. Again, no apology.
I have lived in erskine for over 30 years and have always used the garage i went in today and asked for change of a tenner after filling up and was told no he didn't have any change at all so if I was buying something I wouldn't get any change i will never use this petrol station ever again and we have 4 cars in the family that's alot of petrol you will miss out on
So,you sign up via the app to be able to top your tank up and pay at the pump and go.Fine. Done that,only needed £37 to fill up.What you don’t know is that they take £100 from your account and you have to wait 7-10 working days for your change to be put back into your bank account.What happens to that money in the interim period? I have a pretty good idea..
Bristol Road South Shell GarageI purchased a token for the carwash.Entered the details before entering the carwash. Waited for it to start, nothing happened. Another customer used the service perfectly after I had tried so I tried to enter the voucher again and a message came up that it was invalid Reported to young man behind till. Initially he was helpful but stated patronisingly this had never happened to another customer on his 10 years of service.He checked the voucher and stated that I could use it again in 24 hours. I responded by asking if I could be issued another voucher he responded that only the manager could do this/refund and he had left 15 mins ago. I asked if he could call headquarters to over -rode this he responded no, I can't do that , you do it. No rationale given. He said ..... What do you want me to do a few times with a sarcastic tone.When I commented that this was poor customer service and asked for his name , he said you can complain if you like and then proceeded himself giving an analysis of what had happened from his perspective. I asked him why he was smiling at me whilst filming and he responded ' because we have to smile at the customers'The information he gave may have been correct but it was the manner in which it was given, the dismissiveness, rudeness and sarcasm which was unnecessary and provocative. After returning to my car, I went back to get his name, he locked the doors and ignored me as if I was raging and cursing. Two customers were also not allowed in. He must have told them there's a mad woman on the forecourt , which would be hilarious.All of this could have been avoided if he had been more respectful and less sarcastic.
I charged my car on the EV charger at Shell, Belton Road, Loughborough. I added 10 miles and the EV charger showed a payment of £6.54. I asked for a receipt from Shell but have not received one. I have checked my bank and have been charged £46.54. I contacted Shell customer service and had no help at all. Complete rip off and poor customer service.
