WARNING: Do not bother with Shell Go+

To repeat what others have already posted here... I filled up 10 times at Shell petrol stations using their Shell Go+ app, and the reward was a pathetic/embarrassing £1 off fuel.

They add an award to your fuel account, then when you get confirmation that you have activated it and can redeem it immediately, their IT systems FAIL to process it. Paying over the odds when you are entitled to a discount !!

AVOID SHELL BROADBAND 😡

AVOID SHELL BROADBAND. Utterly incompetent! The customer service staff don’t know what they are doing. I was sent from one dept to another, all absolutely useless. A complete waste of my time. I have cancelled my order within 2 weeks of first signing up. Shell should not be allowed to provide broadband to anyone. Spread the word!

Do not use Shell for your broadband

My elderly parents have been without email for 2 weeks and have spent hours trying to reset their passwords to allow them access. Yesterday my mother spent all day trying to resolve the issues including a lengthy call to their call center which did not resolve the issue. Today I called Shell and it appears that they have been having issues with email accounts for the last 2 weeks and have not been able to resolve it. Nowhere on their website did they say this and neither did the agent yesterday inform my parents of this. I have to drive a 100 mile round trip today to get to the bottom of this. They should stick to selling petrol.

Completely useless Shell carwash

Used a Shell carwash, but it failed utterly to clean my car. When I complained I was promised a refund if I returned, but when I did I was treated rudely and denied any refund or apology. Terrible customer service. I complained to head office who were more polite, but ultimately useless. Will avoid like the plague in future.

The last two times filling up with…

The last two times filling up with petrol have been problematic with their staff (at two different sites).1. Attempted to short change me by not ringing in the tended amount and giving £1 change for £100 (5 x £20) for £98 of fuel.2. An idiot who had to call a supervisor because he couldn't work out £12 of change from £80 (4 x £20) for £68 of fuel.Do you deliberately employ thieves and the uneducated?

Shell Broadband , a warning

Shell Broadband suddenly stopped with an error light on the routerRang shell and was given a list of things to try with the router and the telephone master socket. It soon became obvious that the router was at fault but She'll refused to send a replacement. They sent an Openreach engineer who confirmed the router was defective Two days later Shell claimed that the engineer had fixed the line and everything was now working When told that there had been no problem with the line and that the router was the problem they again insisted on sending another Openreach engineer This engineering only rang shell but included in his report that the router was defectiveAgain , Shell claimed everything was now working. After 20 days without the internet, television , emails etc a new router finally arrived and the problem was resolved. After an argument on the phone with an Indian gentleman they have offered a derisory £9 compensation.Avoid at all costs, you have been warned. It is no wonder that they are trying to sell this business but who would buy it with the reputation they have generated

Avoid

The App is owned by Shell however the shops you visit most likely owned by third party. If the APP failed and Shell told me they don't own the shop and they can't communicate with the shops. You might end up with penalty. AVOID.

A nightmare

Absolutely disappointed, frustrated with Shell Broadband. have been their customer for nearly 2 years mostly because i was obliged by their arbitrary long term contract rules. It's been an absolute nightmare all throughout the contract periods. Here's where Shell has failed me over and over :1. Never deliver when they say they will (router on numerous occasions every single time i needed one) 2. Arbitrary policies on contract which they failed to mention from the beginning.3. One has to be at home when they send a router so never mind if you have to work or else, you have to be there, and waste a number of days until the router finally arrives at a different date they initially said. This happened every single time, 3 times!4. High cost of contract cancelling the service even when i'm absolutely unsatisfied.5. Most importantly, i was paying for an internet service that never worked properly. I'd constantly get disconnected, wasted hours, days, weeks not being able to use internet with consistent failure connections that would last anywhere between intermittent minutes to a full week. 6. I didn't get reimbursed. Customer service is not bad, some people are nice and it's not their fault, but they never sorted out the issue which i pointed out over dozens of emails, calls, chats. Making me be very glad to finally change provider. I've tested 3 that never fail.
