Short review: AVOID AVOID AVOID this service at ALL COSTS!Summary: I wish I had seen the review on TrustPilot before singing up for MyUS. • Hassles, issues and unprofessional staff • Huge delays in replying to your emails/inquires• No 24/7 chat – it is a lie• Bad handling of packages• Highest shipping rates you will ever encounter• The Marketing team blames the Support one and vice versa – totally in disharmony• Very outdated business, you feel dealing with a company from the last century• Outdated registration processI closed my account after they finally refunded me for the broken package. I used the service for only 2 weeks with so much issues. If I really had the ears of MyUS owner, I would urge him to radically change the way the company operates or completely shutdown the business!
There are certain aspects to the MyUS service which are quite professional, their service is efficient etc. So they get many things right and do some great work, I have no doubt.However:They have no phone number- you are left to leave an online message, whatsapp chat (which is somewhat delayed in response, answered sometimes at random times- and apparently a live chat option which may be the best)Their communication and marketing is quite selective, unfortunately deceptive (in the sense they leave out or do not make very clear important information from the outset)Consequently, we have been charged almost the same amount (almost over £100) for the delivery cost of a 1.4lb shipment as the contents of the shipment.To make all potential customers aware:If you are looking for a relatively cost effective and tracked shipping service and you are using their one off free single package shipment service, then after creating your account, go into my account settings, click on shipping preferences and Switch OFF the tab which enables MYUS to collect duties and taxes automatically. If they do this, it excludes many of the cheaper carriers from being considered.When you take free membership, the items for shipping are not held at all and they will usually be sent by the least expensive option (in our case, that came to approx £80 since the more budget carriers were excluded, they were approx half the price and within our price range)After raising the issue that we had not been made aware of this before hand, when we had asked for clarification of the process ia whatssapp and we had not authorised for such an expensive shipment to be sent out (we had wanted to select something cheaper), we were told with free membership, you cannot select carriers and it is done as per your account settings (this is not helpful for what we need and many people). On their website, when comparing memberhsip options, under free, it states you can have flexible shiping options (i.e. you can chose carriers or allow MyUS to select the cheapest- so for free members, its only the latter, and that means you have very little control of the shipping cost, if its tracked or not etc)We also do not want to have to pay 7$ recurring/ month (premium service) which we'll only very occasionally use to get some control over the process. It costs 10$ to change your membership after the first time.In conclusion, I will only use MyUS if all other companies prove to be worse or more problematic (hopefully unlikely); however I suspect where you can atleast talk to some one over the phone and charges are slightly more transparent, one wont get stung the way we did. Terrible first experience…..avoid. This was my first AND LAST time using MyUS. I ordered 2 collectible toys from America recently as I was having trouble finding it in my own country. Once I opened the package (which was somewhat squashed) I realized the items I ordered had been damaged. No big deal right? Well no, these were collectible toys and they had been detached from the cardboard backing effectively reducing the collectible value of them. I contacted MyUS and as you can imagine they wriggled out of paying compensation like snakes. They stated they do not cover manufacturers packaging -_- so be wary of a company that effectively can mishandle your goods and not have to pay you if somethings damaged. I could have opted to have the original seller ship to me but they wanted a lot more in shipping. My advice would be avoid MYUS get the original seller to ship to you regardless of the cost or if not possible then pick another company.
I used them twice. In 2020 and in 2021. The 2020 experience was OK, it took long to receive because of covid and also I got some money back as a compensation for the delay, so the shipping was not so expensive as a result (about 20USD instead of 40USD). But the 2021 experience wa so bad that I closed my account upon resolving the trouble. First of all, they shipped the item without my consent and I could not choose any shipping option, date of shipping, nothing. They immediately charged my Paypal. The shipping was 50USD for one t-shirt! Unbelieveable. As a bonus, DHL lost the parcel and I never received my item. After some time, they refunded me both the item and shipping fees, but I am so sad my item got lost. I immediately closed my account and never use Myus.com again. Very expensive shipping! Estimate was half the price they took from my Paypal. Still even the estimate (30USD) is crazy price for one light child's top.
I really wanted to have a good experience with MyUs. I live in Japan and I ordered some items off of walmart. Everything shipped out okay in a decent speed. No complains so far. I paid $80+ for shipping and then I opted for paying the taxes for my shipment upfront (as it’s a pain in the ass to deal with before hand) which was around another $50. My shipping and taxes cost was $145 for a $188 worth of goods. I knew it was expensive but, I didn’t mind as getting anything here from the states can be troublesome and was expecting this cost. My package got rejected by customs and on their site is says:“ We'll let you know if any of your purchases are illegal to import to Japan or if any merchandise is broken before we ship your packages to you. This means you won't incur shipping charges, duties or taxes on items you may need to return to US stores.”However I was not notified before the shipment left MyUs that any item was going to be rejected by Japan customs. DHL notified me that the shipment was being returned and I was not contacted by MyUs or any DHL service agent to have any other options for getting my package through customs. I emailed MyUs about the package asking them about my taxes I paid and about the shipping. I was replied to a few days later with this: Hello —, Thank you for contacting us. I have determined that AWB# —is being returned to the shipper. If this was rejected by customs, that is not within our control. The shipping costs paid will be charged to you along with the return costs. Once it arrives back in our MyUS Facility, we can submit a split request so you can send it to a US address. Let us know once it arrives back in your suite. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Currently looking at $330 down the hole and probably a lot more if I want the items at all. This sucks, I was hoping for a good service to ship from America to Japan but I’m currently not hopeful on the situation especially after that reply.
Try alternatives. Don't use myus if you don't use it frequently. They charged me continuously for the last 6 months. I didn't use their service at all. Fortunately, they couldn't make the transaction because I didn't have any money to pay for them in my account after last use. It already has a negative value. I owe the bank because of them.Now I have a pending amount to pay when I signed in today to make my next purchase after 6 months. And they refused to refund. They just take away money people this way shamelessly.To myus: $1 dollar means a lot to me and for a lot of those whom you charged.
They discarded and disposed prescription medicaments I have legally purchased and those legally arrived at their premises.They committed theft and deceit by stealing my property claiming their self made terms and conditions stating prescription medicaments are not allowed merchandise. However, not any self proclaimed terms and conditions can invalidate criminal act of theft.It is common sense a prescription medicament is not a forbidden item. They only created cost and damage to me, Zero service, bad service. Pure deceit.They are lucky as I was too far ( outside the US ) and would have been expensive for me to engage a lawyer and take all of them to court, and charge them legal costs as well. Only thing I can do, is to make my best to inform everyone I know, and use all tools I have, digital and social media, to let other people know about it.
My first experience with this company wasn't great but in fairness, it was when shipping was insane because of the global lockdown. However - I wanted to give them another chance and I'm glad I did. Since then I have used them three times and have had no problems at all. The last shipment was complicated for a number of reasons on my end but I found their customer service excellent (thank you Tyler). My emails were responded to within hours. I will use them again.

DO NOT USE THEM *The other reviews were right. there are A LOT OF HIDDEN FEES and it is NOT FREE UNLIMITED CONSOLIDATION.It claimed to be free unlimited consolidation and that's the reason I chose to use them BUT NO! LIES! I'M TELLING YOU THEY CHARGE A LOT FO HIDDEN FEE ON THIS AND NOT UNLIMITED!1. Hidden fee - Item Processing Fee which they never mentioned on the either FAQ page or Shipping calculator page. Claimed it FREE package consolidation but in fact they are charging Item Processing Fee. THEY ADMITTED THEY NEVER MENTIONED THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE! but they refused to deduct them!2. NOT UNLIMITED CONSOLIDATION! there's max 50 pieces of package consolidation as it claimed to be free unlimited on their website.I knew I had a lot of packages since day 1, so I did went through their website to look for all the information and fees and also contacted their customer service asked about consolidation before I used their company. No information or anyone mentioned there would be an Item Processing Fee or 50 max pieces UNTIL I WAS ON THE "CREATE SHIPMENT" PAGE WHICH IS A PAGE I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET TO UNTIL I SHIPPED MY PACKAGES TO THEIR WAREHOUSE. (UNTIL YOU FELL INTO THEIR TRAP AND GOT NO OTHER CHOICE)THIS IS TOTALLY A SCAM! Just realized many people complained talked about the hidden fees and no unlimited consolation on Trustpilot! I wish I read the reviews earlier before I fell into their trap!
