Skechers On the Go Walk Lite Playa Vista Boat Shoes

This is my review of Skechers On the Go Walk Lite Playa Vista Boat Shoes. The outside of the shoe itself is fine but the Air Cooled GOGA MAT is the worst liner ever. Within one short wearing the cushioned protection foam wears down and forms foot and toe ruts. This 'responsive foam' completely fails. Worse the liner retains foot odor. Within a couple wearings the odor, even with washing and powder doesn't improve. These shoes look nice on the outside but the inner soles ruin the experience.

love these shoes

first off...i was in the skecher's store at the NL Mall in Leidschendam on Thursday...i had a little bit of apprehension, having read some of the reviews about the service there. my experience was that they were super helpful AND friendly. i have no affiliation with anyone from the store or company. i just want to make this VERY clear...alas, they didn't have exactly what i was looking for BUT, the person who was helping me directed me to two other stores, neither of which had what i was looking for, either...Skechers Hands Free Slip-Ins Max Cushioning Premium 2.0 . so, when i got home later i ordered a pair on the internet. they just came and i tried them on. a few months ago i began experiencing knee pain. eventually i realized...'well maybe it's the old shoes you're wearing...'. so i got online and searched for shoes that might be good to relieve the situation... that's where i saw that particular model mentioned...it's hard for ME to believe but i SWEAR this is true... i put the shoes on(EAsily...they're slip ons. no laces) and walked around and...no pain in my knees...this is a serious WOW experience for me...and SO worth the money i spent. i don't understand the low rating here. did these people think this is IMDB? i TOtally recommend these shoes...

Very poor binding material used by sketchers

Bought a women’s sketchers on the go 600 in August 2023 in Amazon India for my wife and was sparingly used for about an year and the sole n upper portion peeled off due to poor quality of binding material. On taking up with their customer service they reverted that ‘ this is not a manufacturing defect and this may be due to wear and tear.’ which is not the case as it was used for infrequently though such is the state of affairs. Where as the other brands she’s is using are fine n no such poor binding material issue. We had similar issue with her sketchers sports shoe too in the past.

Poor Customer Service and delivery.

Ordered golf shoes on 2nd April 2025, received various encouraging messages on the Tracker including delivery on 9th April by end of day...nothing. Tried Skechers Customer Service but not answering and left a return call request twice. Tried UPS they don't pick up either. Virtual Chat is a waste of time unless you like going around in a loop. Eventually, according to the Tracker they left Brussels on Friday 11th April. 3 different places in England one of which the motorway goes past my exit. Eventually delivered by UPS today 15th April. Skechers on line ordering and UPS are very poor, I will never order this way again.

I have no problems with the shoes

I have no problems with the shoes. The complaint I have is when I purchased the shoes on the website they required my phone number (which I never give out) in order to get the discount. Ever since then I have been swamped with spam calls. Coincidence? I think not.

Wife bought me a pair of the slip-ons…

Wife bought me a pair of the slip-ons as seen on TV. TV commercial shows actors just stepping into them while standing. Tug of war getting them on. Doesn't happen in the real world or is it just me. Very disappointed. Don't believe anything you see in a commercial, would not buy again!

Abhorrent Customer Service

I have learnt a very hard lesson. Skechers customer service stinks! Ordered 2 pairs, one says its shipped the other is still on order. I called to cancel the second pair and they refused saying that is on the truck. Yet the order is still showing outstanding. Can't understand why they won't cancel it! abhorrent customer service. How can you trust a company that doesn't believe in customer service. Will never purchase from them again!

Non-existent customer service. Where are my shoes?

I'd like to review the shoes I ordered but they haven't arrived. Instead, I'll review Skechers' non-existent customer service. Ordered a pair of Skechers on 7th April, received an email saying it had been shipped on 9th April and will be delivered on 14th April. However, UPS tracking is saying it's not been received by UPS from Skechers, but a label was raised (whatever that means) on 11th April. Meanwhile, Skechers are sending emails to me saying the shoes I'm interested in are nearly out of stock, encouraging me to order (the website is now showing them as out of stock). Emailed Skechers to find out where my order is - no response. Called customer service; automated response giving option of a call-back - suffice to say, no call-back received. Latest from UPS is a suggestion that I contact Skechers...and so the customer is caught in the loop of non-existent customer service between Skechers and the courier. I hope the shoes, if they arrive, are better than the customer service.

Shoes that damage feet and horrendous customer service

I sought out Skechers as they offered shoes specifically which are meant to be better for those with higher arches (GO WALK Arch Fit 2.0). I am a size 42 and this has not changed. After a few days of wearing the shoes, I noticed a lot of pain and tension in my toes, so I stopped wearing them. I then noticed bruising in my toe nails and a couple of weeks later numbness. I contacted Skechers about this and asked for a refund, given there is clearly a defect. Instead, they took weeks to reply and gave an automated answer about how they would not give a refund as they were worn - despite the fact that there is clearly a defect that only became apparent after wearing them for a couple of days. I find this outrageous. This clearly also violates the law under §§434, 437 BGB, so I will be pursuing this further until they respond fairly.
