The worst decision we ever made moving to SKY Q constant dropouts losing Sky and getting charged a large fee for no service.

Would advise to stay well clear of Sky…

Would advise to stay well clear of Sky Q.Nothing but issues connecting and then remotes not connecting to boxes. Sky sell this but fail to mention that still have many issues. Only installed 3 months ago and on 2nd set of boxes.

It’s utterly rubbish!!

It’s utterly rubbish!!! We upgraded in dec 2020 and have been with sky for almost 20yeats. Can’t download a thing. I appreciate my internet isn’t that of a new build. Sky were happy to flog this package to me without checking my internet capabilities. With all household devices in 4G… can’t even get iplayer, itv hub, or anything else to download/record. Voice opinion rarely works . I wish I’d never changed…! Since sky Q not even r phones work on the internet! I wish we’d stayed on sky+

Sky Q box

In a word. Don’t. If you’re offered a sky Q box don’t switch and give up your perfectly good and working old box. After over a year of terrible reception, a counterintuitive remote control and sitting waiting whilst programs accessed through netflicks ect via the sky box stalled during downloads or stopped halfway through we’ve pulled the plug on our sky subscription. We tried all the fixes suggested and despite every other device in the house working fine with our WiFi the Q box has been no end of trouble.

I agree DO NOT UPGRADE no web browser, less apps, handset is a pain to use and no added benefits. Wish i hadn't done it. Where is ITV hub!!!!!

Changed to Sky Q 6 months ago.Worst decision ever.Remote very complicated.Supposed to b great offer.Would love to go back to my old sky box.No comfort in our telly now.

DOESN’T WORK PROPERLY, AND INTERFERES WITH OTHER DEVICES

After being Sky customers for many years, we upgraded to Sky Q. Everything seemed fine at first, but over the next week we had worsening problems with the mini box not connecting to the main box, and the mini box remote not working. We were also repeatedly losing internet on all our other devices, and suffering loss of connection between devices, where we had never had problems before. Things seemed to get worse as the days went by. My husband works in IT, and he spent many hours trying to solve the problems, but couldn’t. We looked on the Sky help forums, and there were loads of other people all experiencing exactly the same problems as us with Sky Q. It seems to be a design fault with the equipment, not only does it not work properly, but it floods your home network with data, and causes problems with all your other devices. All the problems go away as soon as the Sky Q boxes are unplugged. We definitely would not recommend Sky Q!

SKY Q IS TERRIBLE

Where to start Sky q main box resets daily Mini box disconnects from router and main box at least once weekly Sky q router always too hot and dropping out daily Sky constantly putting prices up even though u are in a contract Had at least 10 engineers out in 2 yrs - 1 new mini box - 4 sky q 2tb boxes - 5 routers and a thousand different set ups and still no good - terrible hardware - crap service - rip off price for what u get - bye bye sky - DO NOT GET SKY Q

do not upgrade to sky q, keep your old system, the new one is not user friendly and it is not an improvement.

Wish I had the old box!

Our Sky box went wrong and it appeared the only option was to get Sky Q. Very disappointed. The only advantage is the bigger storage capacity. There are too many bells and whistles, multiple menus within menus. Since the installation last year, there has been constant sound drop on live TV and recordings. It will record programmes at random, not record programmes that were set up and to cap it all, completely delete recordings waiting to be watched. It recently bizarrely reset itself, deleting all the items in the deleted section without being requested to and also 5 radio programmes in a series that I was only half way through listening. And it is expensive. The HD box was much simpler but it did the job. Sad to see it go.
