I had Sky Q upgrade installed today…

I had Sky Q upgrade installed today after some years of having a HD box, & I can't rate it enough! The engineer Danny was very knowledgeable, friendly, & a pleasure to have in my home!! The upgrade is fantastic, with many new features with voice commands, better picture, sounds, & supports alexa!! I read unfortunately many messages of customers not being happy with Sky. But I would like to think they have learned many lessons over the years, via customer complaints & feedback etc!!

Avoid Sky at all costs.

Avoid Sky at all costs.Ordered as a new customer during Black Friday deals. Sky admit they were not prepared for increased orders during that period and have not employed enough engineers to install new customers. So sky took over phone line/internet replacing our previous provider, but TV not able to be connected by engineer until the new year. It means we are left without TV for children over Xmas, no facility to record Xmas children’s TV.

Joined sky 8 weeks ago, paid my first direct debit and then purposely made my 2nd one bounce (called bank and cancelled it) because it was twice the amount! Tried calling them to find out why and after over a week apparently 2nd payment is always 2 months worth, this was without warning........ Within days they’ve cut my tv and WiFi off, tried calling them again and have ended up spending 40 mins on the phone only to be told I’m mental because I won’t pay 2 months!!! Outraged by this I asked to speak to his superior or complaints department obviously he refused and cut me off!! So I called back 20 mins on the phone only for the complaints department to not even say hello .......... AVOID AT ALL COSTS, I WILL BE PAYING MY BILL AND PAYING TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION!

Sky tv going from bad to worse

This review is for sky tv in the uk. They release box sets and withdraw them at will, no indication when the box set will be withdrawn and put into sky store to buy, and at extortionate rates. I’m beyond disgusted with sky. I wish they had competition so customers aren’t fleeced by the monopoly they hold.

Recently, my partner phoned Sky to request signing up to Sky Sports, in particular, the autumn internationals. To make this request took about 5-10 minutes. The aim was to cancel immediately as we only wanted to watch the England games (e.g. v New Zealand). My partner made it very clear she wished to cancel immediately, however, the customer service person stated 'he could not do it and she would need to speak to another department'. Attempting to get through to cancel took 45 minutes. This is a constant feature of Sky TV (i.e. if you request a new package they answer quickly and to cancel they take an eternity).Furthermore, Sky have started to modify their packages. They state or wrongly believe, it is in the interest of the customer. Let's be honest about this 'It's Not'! It's about Sky making even more money under the guise of individual customer service.In a nutshell, if we had other options we would go elsewhere, however, competition in rural areas is very limited.

As listed below, absolutely useless not to mention causing so much stress that it affects customers health. They outsource this that and the other; viewing card in post, modem by recorded delivery, and BT and Sky engineer separately and have the nerve to charge for it!They say " it is a busy area", well hire more engineers then!!! How can we get together to shame this company to the chore . Customer rights advice from other reviewers is welcome but I will also contact Citizens Advice Bureau consumer rights.

SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO PROVIDE PHONELINESWhat a sorry carry on. Our phone line broke in Sept & sky managed to do nothing about it leaving us with no phone for over a week. All they wanted to do was blame Openreach which is all well & good but it's up to sky to provide us with the service that we're paying them for. Then to my disgust our phone line broke again on Tues 23rd October I have been battling with sky twice daily every day since to get our phone line fixed. We were told an engineer would be out to it on Thurs 25th NO ENGINEER we were then told that the engineer would be out on Fri 26th NO ENGINEER & guess what they don't work weekends according to sky (RUBBISH YOU JUST DONT WON'T TO PAY GIR WEEKEND WORK) Mon 29th told the engineer would be out NO ENGINEER. The engineer turned up Tues 30th (1 week later) but couldn't fix the fault came back on Weds 31st to then inform me that they needed till Nov 9th to arrange to fix the fault. REALLY ARE YOU TAKING THE MICHAEL !!! SHOCKING UNBELIEVABLE THAT IN 2018 YOU CAN'T REPAIR A PHONE LINE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ??? Made even worse when we've just tried to cancel all sky products & they put the phone down on us. BAD BAD SERVICE

Terrible service

Sky card not working, rang sky. Told to reboot the box which did not work by first so called helper.Nothing else offered.Second helper wanted to sell me broadband and sky sports. told me that within 48 hours I would have a new viewing card. One week later NOTHING.Third helper assured me that I will have a new viewing card within 48 hours and that the first one had not been sent.Current viewing card disabled, no sky channels.Forth helper said I would get a new card in 48 hours, and it was normal to disable the existing card.Question What do I pay Sky for when I have no Sky network? £50.50 pcmThis seems to be some sort of scam as I am paying for nothing.Will wait 48 hours before posting result of last call.

Great experience when moving home

Great experience when moving home - never on hold for too long and an engineer came out to us the same weekend we moved :) They were efficient, friendly and lovely guys!
