Terrible service

Terrible service, you spend forever on the phone then get cut off: I wish I’d stayed with the standard sky than upgrading to sky q. The problem is they have the monopoly on the whole country so really we don’t have any choice anymore. What happened to fair competition !

Don't need the stress

Sky q has great reviews from some trusted sources but my complaint is the functionality of the remote. My old box and remote did what I asked and gave me useful messages. This one tapes a programme, then tells me I have to upgrade if I want to watch it and then I have no means to delete it. If I am in the middle of a programme and decide to delete, it just goes back to playing it and gives me no delete option. It seems that following the same sequence of button presses produces different results and there is no rhyme or reason. So many problems trying to find things and we are generally tech-savvy.We wish we had kept our old box. Very dissatisfied with it.

We decided to "upgrade" to Sky Q

We decided to "upgrade" to Sky Q, after wishing to cancel our Sky+ subscription.wWe were told that by switching to SkyQ, we would save £14 monthly, compared to what we were paying.That phone call, has now transpired to be the worst of my life!Hey, it's great we're saving money.Whoo hoo.But if you can't actually access & watch anything, then it's utterly pointless.Just a few hours after it was installed (in a huge hurry by the engineer), we seem unable to view anything at all.When we do, it keeps freezing for upwards of a couple of hours.It consistently fails to recognise our wifi - despite me watching the engineer set this aspect up.If you or anyone in your family happen to be partially sighted, please please please, do NOT get this.My wife is partially sighted & oh how clever of Sky, to come up with a system, whereby you can't enlarge the font size - easily done on Sky+ (our now defunct system).As I write this, we've had this awful mess for 36 hours.We hate it with a vengeance & I shall be contacting Sky to cancel altogether.I do not recommend this product.1* is very generous!

Sky Q Crap !!

Sky Q Crap !!! Sky plus was easy to use & could use with out looking at the remote !

I have recently added SkyQ to my TV, and was very grateful for the help I received through the setting-up process by Saleem, who patiently answered my many questions. I'd never have done it on my own.

Disgusted

We have been with Sky for 19 years. The others say my husband rang to cancel as no longer want it as prices keep going up and it’s an expense we can do without. The person on the phone said we will have to send back the main sky q box and the two mini boxes in the pre-paid packaging they send us. But when we had the second mini box we had to pay £99 to buy it as they only give you one with main box. When my husband questioned this he was told that the £99 was an activation fee, if this was explained properly 4 years ago we would not have bothered with second mini box. So be warned!!! Sky are the biggest rip off company going!

I want my old sky HD boxes back

I want my old sky HD boxes back. Sky Q absolute rubbish. The mini box not fit for purpose. If its not disconnected from the main box it disconnects from the broadband. Service constantly interrupted, picture freezing etc. I also had Sky broadband installed and paid for an upgrade promising 200 mbs. 30 to 40 is the best I've actually achieved. One of the engineers who attended my home informed me that Sky are aware of the many problems with its Q system and broadband routers needing to be reset every couple of months but don't seen to want to know. My contract is up in October and guess what. Goodbye Sky. I'm done. Incidentally I've been a customer of sky's for over 10 years with aforementioned Sky HD boxes and eir supplied the broadband. What a mistake to "upgrade" to Sky Q.

Sky Q rubbish!!!!

Sky Q rubbish!!!!! Had it 3 days and its rubbish and complicated, I'm still under my 14 days cancellation and have asked sky to go back to Sky+ which they have flatly refused they said we could cancel and leave or put up with it so they would rather lose a customer of 18 years than revert us back to sky +. I really can't see the problem of reverting g back, I'm even willing to pay for it to be done. SKY THIS IS SHODDY TREATMENT OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS!!

sky q is rubbish .

sky q is rubbish .. old system worked just fine , even the new remote is cheap n cheerfull , complicated menus , had it 2 weeks , loses wireless pretty much everyday at some point
