Review Time
Probably the worse decision I have ever made by changing to Sky Q. The installation engineer was only concerned about connecting the Sky Q box. Just discovered that my VCR is completely disconnected and my terrestrial aerial not connect and other cables just left dangling. There dosen't appear to be any way of re-connecting them either.Spoke to Sky who stated it was not for them to put it right as they cannot send out an engineer for suck problems. Told this idiot it was their engineer that caused the problem in the first place and he simp;y wasn't interested. Sky Q does not offer anything that I cannot get on my PC and in fact performs worse that the old system where you got reminders of your programs that you chose to view. I am now stuck with a worse scenario which I wish I had never had.
we had a normal sky box for years until we had the choice to upgrade to sky q and it was the worst decision ever. the amount of times the sky q randomly disconnects and we have to reset it is aweful. don’t even get me started on the recordings. occasionally won’t let us record or download shows and movies and just says “failed” with no explanation to how we can fix it. i would rather downgrade back to old sky but i would still call the old sky an upgrade from this utter rubbish. everyone else seems to be having this problem too. do not upgrade!!!
I had an oldish (5yrs) sky box. Contract up. Let negotiate. Scored, they offered Sky Q. I accepted and regretted since. It is the worst remote I have ever had. If you tried to design a non-intuitive control, this is perfect. I have never had a more user unfriendly piece of equipment. It is quite simply shocking. Genuinely. I need to turn lights on or use my phone torch to see the control to try and work out where ‘I’ is so I can look at what’s on. And that’s the best it gets. Simply disgraceful that they sell this as an “upgrade”
We have had our Qbox for about three months now and it continues to frustrate. It’s not easy to navigate, deleting recordings is time consuming. The recording has to be fully viewed before it can be done and we have yet to find a ‘ delete all’ method. No obvious ‘back up’ method so we have to revert to main menu even if we want to stay in ‘recordings’ . Instructions for use poor. We are not alone given number of posts there are from individuals asking for help.This system needs a radical update and should never have been released with such poor programming. It’s not user friendly. Shocking from a HUGE organisation.
