Just make sure you have proof (screenshot, etc..) that you canceled the 7 day trial subscription before it expired! Came back to bite me (still got charged, anyway). I should have known better. The program itself seemed to work well and I received a quick response from company after I wrote them, so those are points in their favor.
I have been charged 81 gbp, for what????? I am trying to login to cancel my subscription, first it doesn't allow me to login stating password incorrect, even though it wasn't, I changed my password and now it doesn't let me login. I need someone from your firm to contact me ASAP and tell me what have I paid 81 gbp for?????
I signed up to explore this company's PDF editor but found it unhelpful and not meeting my needs. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel the free trial, and £81 was charged to my account. Despite explaining my situation politely and requesting a refund, highlighting that I tried to get a PDF editor but it does not work either, they showed no willingness to listen or assist. Their customer service was rude and unsympathetic to my innocent mistake, which I made. They can charge me for one acceptable month, but they are charging me for one whole year. I am extremely disappointed with their approach and would caution others to be very careful before signing up. I have all the email proof.
Please don’t use. I was charged £81 for edit PDF function that I didn’t use from day 1 as it wasn’t editing the whole PDF but few texts. Very hurtful as the only way I could try their function was to join a free trial. But it wasn’t workingI tried to reach out to the team they were inconsiderate.I will try and reach out to Trading standards as what they sold to me is not what was described.I will do whatever it takes to sort it out
I would rather use the oldest Adobe Acrobat product than this one. At least the competitor has a good and understanding customer service. SmallPDF has a very inpolite customer service. I accidently missed the ending of the free trial period by 5 minutes and the only thing I get from customer service is the same reply every time I try to explain that I do not need this product and just wanted to test it. But as I signed up, "I agreed to the T&C" (they are absolutely right about that, but that isn't customer service from my point of view). Wouldn't recommend to anybody, not even my worst enemy.
Be very careful when using Smallpdf. They automatically charge you after the trial ends without any reminder, and their customer support refuses to help—even if you contact them less than 24 hours after the charge.Despite reaching out immediately and explaining the situation, they hid behind their terms and conditions and showed zero flexibility. The responses felt automated and dismissive, with no real attempt to assist.There are plenty of other services that offer similar tools without resorting to these shady subscription tactics. I would not recommend Smallpdf to anyone.
