Did sneak peek at 7 weeks and was told I was having a girl. Ultrasound and genetic testing at the doctor's office has confirmed I am having a boy. Complete waste of money! This company is a fraud. I've also noticed that if you write a negative review about their test being wrong they don't show it. That only put the positive ones for viewing easily.
I had two different tests both inconclusive. It is extremely frustrating to get your hopes up then wonder if something is wrong with your baby and why the tests aren't working. I will not be doing it a third time cause I do not trust the result. I was 6 weeks and 9 weeks for the two tests. Going to wait for the ultrasound scan to determine gender after this mess.
Very positive experience for me. I ordered the sneak peek blood test on 29 March and it arrived the following day so super speedy! Took the test and followed the instructions and sent off the same day (30 March). They received my test at their lab on the 3rd April and I received my result on the 4th April to say I was having a girl. I received confirmation that I am having a girl at my 20 week scan yesterday. All round a good and speedy experience for me.
This is my first time using the sneak peek gender test , I have two girls and I was hoping to have a baby boy this time ..I took the lancet test at 6w and the result came back said it’s a girl ..I did the NIPT at 10w4d I had a call from my doctor assistant yesterday ..she told me I’m having a baby boy 🎉💙thank god I had a strong feeling that the sneak peek result is wrong , It’s not accurate at 6w so I don’t recommend to take it this early
Highly recommended. I live in the UK so was unsure about the whole process and reading all these bad reviews puts you off. Dont let them put you off! I firstly did a text myself at home and came back a boy. Having already got 3 girls I wasn’t sure about it. So I had another test done by a local phlebotomist via sneak peeks website and again it came back a boy! I then had a dating scan at 16 weeks, a boy! NHS 20 week scan, a boy. Finally in October our little BOY arrived. Most of the bad reviews are from people doing it themselves. I would recommend paying the extra and get a professional to take your bloody for peace of mind. Great experience.
Sneakpeek is supposed to be accurate from 6 weeks so we waited until 10 to be sure as of course it’s possible to be out a few days! We got a sneakpeek girl result at 10 weeks and trusted it but it was wrong! We knew there were cases of wrong results but usually around 6 weeks or boy results due to contamination with dads dna. We hadn’t heard of any wrong girl results so far into the pregnancy. As a doctor myself, I trusted the science. I had no reason not to believe it. So we named our ‘daughter’ and bought a whole wardrobe of girl clothes. I was so happy and knowing the gender really helped me bond.Roll on 7 weeks at a scan and we were shocked to be told baby girl was actually a boy. I knew ultrasounds weren’t 100% accurate so I convinced myself it was just the cord they saw. 2 more scan over the next 3 weeks agreed it was a boy. Sneakpeek reassured me it was virtually impossible with 99.9% accuracy and even showed me large scale studies where girl results were actually 100% right. We decided to repeat the sneak peek. We were offered a discount code but never received it so we just went ahead anyway, desperate to know. The result was now a boy!!! It was really hard as we were so bonded with our daughter and felt like we were starting all over again bonding with our son!! We were out of pocket as can’t return the clothes. And it was embarrassing to let people know - some of whom had bought girl clothes and knitted pink blankets already!!! I still believe in the science and I know ultrasound is probably even less accurate. (Mistaken cords, swollen girls, poor views…) I believe our wrong result was due to the lab giving us someone else’s results. It’s the only thing that makes sense to me given DNA tests are pretty conclusive. There’s either Y chromosomes or not!! Sneakpeek did honour a refund on both tests and we had results in a timely manner - 6 days in the UK. However I do not trust that the lab takes good care of our samples. I would also urge anyone who gets a boy result to be a tad cautious anyway as it’s easy to contaminate the sample with dads dna (eg skin cells under your nails) and things like vanishing twin syndrome can also cause them. If you had a girl result you can probably be more confident but maybe hold off buying those little dresses until the ultrasound backs up your results!
