Worle branch in Sainsbury's. Worst experience iv had. Had to go back twice. Re tested on eye exam, re fitted, second set of glasses. OMG, not a clue. I was told on the second vist by the woman taking my order, not to bother coming back as there was nothing more they could do. Stupidly I took the sales woman to her word. I then whent to the Weston-super-Mare branch. And they spotted the problem within seconds. All the measurements were wrong. How they missed this the first and second time is beyond me. These people are supposed to be trained. I can't wait for AI to take this part of the job. Then when I asked for compensation as it was clearly them in the wrong I was refused, only a voucher was offered. Like I would go back. WOW no real customer service, no gesture of good will. They don't care weather you go back or not.
Every member of the team that we encountered was professional, friendly and very helpful. The optician was much more approachable and explained everything, including the optical scan, very clearly. Other members of the team then showed me the range of frames and guided me through all the options before measuring everything very carefully but in a friendly, but professional way. Unfortunately, I had to return after a couple of days as there was a slight problem with the position of the graded lenses with my varifocals. The problem was resolved quickly and without any fuss and I am now very happy with the glasses and the whole experience left me feeling that I had been thoroughly looked after (& made some friends along the way!).
Popped into Coventry City Centre branch to pay for the glasses. Was told I could either phone up or call into the branch. The order wasn’t completed on the system. It took several members of staff to complete the order for me to pay. The original person that took my order was walking around the branch. When I asked can you sort this out was told she had a customer. The branch manager was rude told me to join the queue when I was already at the reception desk. Then when it came to pay with corporate vouchers no one knew how to put them through. I refrained from using Specsavers for many years due to the Coventry City Centre Branch unorganised, chaotic approach. This will be my last purchase too much going on staff need retraining on customer service skills and till training.
