I love my local Specsavers (Birkenhead). Been a customer of theirs since the early 1990's. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Their staff are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Busy store but dealt with very efficiently. Highly recommend them.
The pair of glasses I had was not useful to me as my eye sight was bad to read close so went down Saturday got appointment for Sunday went Sunday the staff was very happy polite and helpful explained things and went through the process they told me 2 weeks a week and was done thanks for your staffs help im happy
Everything was fine except the eye test itself, which was the worst I'd ever had in my life. I could have probably done a better eye test on myself or another person, and I've had zero training. The person who did the test rushed through everything at an alarming rate showing zero regard for quality or thoroughness. I've never had such a ridiculously short and rushed short-sighted part of the test, testing my distance sight. She did a couple of variations and that was that. The eye scan with the opthalmoscope was an absolute joke. She basically did an uber quick token gesture scan of the back of my eyes and it was way to quick to scrutinise or view the eyes to any level of soundness for checking the health of the eye. The test was so bad that she went to end the test without even checking my sight for reading/ close up eye health etc. I had to ask her to check that myself! What an absolute joke of an eye test and an absolute joke of an optometrist. I'll never use Specsavers again and I'm already booked in for another test elsewhere as they can't be trusted. Like I said, I could have done a better job myself and you don't take chances with eyesight......... unless you're Specsavers of course........
