Good afternoon first time when I made a payment with you guys I didn't know that it was a straight shot I was so surprised when he started sending me emails and tell me about my order so I said thank you very much to be the Honest shop or always buys stuff from you
It started out as potentially a good experience. Their web site has many products which was a tad easier to find/search. They claim from date of order to delivery it will take 3-7 days. After getting everything ordered and paid for it took 5 days before I received a email with my order confirmation. This is all basic hardware goods for a project, no special or hard to find goods. After a week of waiting with no feedback I emailed them for an update but got no reply. I phoned them and was told they will phone me back as they need to check with their warehouse. No one called me back. Hereafter I started sending emails AND phoning them on a weekly basis. Got excuses on the phone like: “it’s now coming from their main warehouse”, “someone will phone me”, “the goods have arrived and the order is being assembled”, “they don’t have the order on their system” , “half the order is there, they are waiting for the order half” to even “they don’t know what happened to my order.” Per email they never responded to an update. This carried on until I wrote a letter of demand. After more than 5 weeks, an order was scheduled but only 85% of the order was delivered. Again more phone calls & emails followed but no response at all. Response to phone calls was just “we’ll have to check and call you back”, which never happened. Again wrote a letter if demand placing them on terms. They suddenly gained the ability to respond. Eventually the order was delivered. It took them 6 1/2 weeks to fulfill an order that they claim would be delivered in 3-7 days. I have goods that I order from all over the world that arrive in a faster time than that (standard economy delivery).I buy a LOT of hardware goods on a regular basis. Needless to say I will not be wasting my time or money on this place again. Had a similar experience at the other hardware shop “LM” (Leeroy…). It’s easy to list a bunch of items on your site, but I believe these hardware shops are just not capable of managing or delivering on it. They overpromise, show goods they don’t have and if you are lucky you might get an excuse as to why they are not delivering your order. They operate similar to some of the cheap online import sites that show a lot of goods. After ordering, there’s long delays, cheap excuses, hollow promises and you are lucky if you ever get your goods.
Ordered online. It said will get communication on when delivery will happen via email and sms. After a week nothing, I mailed them. Still nothing. Then we started to phone. Then the next day delivery happened. BUT complete different to what we ordered. We ordered dump rock (they even sent a photo via WA of the product that will be delivered) and seems like small crushed stone arrived here. When we phoned them to tell them this is not what we ordered, they said yes but dump rock was out of stock so they sent a replacement. WITHOUT INFORMING us, so we must now be happy with small little crushed stone to build a wall. When we said we will not take it and send it back, they said then we will have to pay FEES. NO NO, you will never see us again. Such poor service, they never phoned us once.
