I have experienced several problems with my Toyota which I purchased as an approved used car. I’ve been completely fobbed off by them and been left out of pockets as I had to urgently repair the issues on the car. I’ve asked for proof of the so called 145 point inspection and service but again keep getting fobbed off. Really disappointes as Toyota are supposed to be quality leaders!
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Ongoing issues that started back in Spring 2024. The situation has turned into something you really cannot make up. Unfortunately I cannot go into greater detail as this is being looked into further by other relevant organisations . I have pages of phone calls, emails and names of people I have spoken to at Wolverhampton, and Head Office. Wolverhampton very rarely return your calls, and I am still waiting for a response from an email I sent to them at the end of last week, marked as urgent. Do not trust this company with anything - and if you need a new or used car, avoid this place like the plague. Take your hard earned money and buy elsewhere.
Last year the car was serviced, no problems at all. This year I'm fuming with the unnecessary use of text messages, web sites and video and at no stage am I actually able to talk with the technician who is working on my car. Firstly, the new on line check in procedure for your vehicle is just a front end to try and up sell and persuade you to buy more stuff and services from them. Second, I got a progress report from them via a text and web site this contained a video with audio that I could not hear, a report of the vehicle with Red, Amber and green status warnings. The red warning was for the car's air conditioning, it's functional so how can that be critical. Amber for rear break pads, they say need replaced but the front pads are green with more remaining wear on them. When I phoned up to try and discuss this I was told there was no way I could talk to the technician who was doing the work. When I complained about all this new process I was told I was wrong and it was for my benefit. This is technology gone mad, it's of no benefit to the customer and I fail to see any benefit to Steven Eagell other than it being a crude sales tool to take advantage of the customer.Needless to say I have cancelled my service contract with them and will find a garage with more of a customer centric approach to business
Charlee in the Bishop's Stortford service department is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and makes sure you are aware of the processes involved during your visit. The collection/delivery drivers are friendly and explain what will happen regarding the return of vehicle etc.Obviously, I'm confident the service team carry out the necessary work and the car always gets a good clean inside and outside.
Do Not ever take your toyota to steven eagall toyota, I took my sons toyota auris hybrid in to them, I told them that the sparkplugs have been changed about 3 week before, and that tgere was another problem, after they had it for a few days they insisted that it was the sparkplugs, so I let them do the work, after paying nearly £200 drove the car and the problem was exactly the same, I called them and they were not helpful whatsoever and said I had to rebook it in again, what a waste of time, I would NEVER trust them again, they are (1) very expensive and (2) rubbish at their work, they do not even deserve 1 star, so from me they get 0-
