Apparently Sumsub is too dumb to understand that you can live in a country while being a citizen of another... I have failed multiple verifications in three different platforms because my ID verification isn't from the same country as my country of residence.Not only that, but for some reason it permanently blocks me from trying again after the first failure, having to dive into a vortex of customer support chats and email threads.Companies, just use another service.
Ever since i got my new passport, i have tried to verify in 3 different platforms using Sumsub(Bybit cards,BingX,Fragment), all got rejected at first try, i don't normally have such issue in the past.Also, Sumsub seem to use both first and third name from my passport as my first name, which might be the issue since i only use first name on the platform. I really don't know though, because the 3 steps of Selfie, Identity, Applicant Data are GREEN, but result always come out as RED and FINAL.Something seem off and I am assuming Sumsub has a glitch, and hoping they would check it out because i am getting deprived of services and having monetary loss due to this.UPDATE: August 2025, All platforms are now recognising my documents, seem Sumsub has worked on their system. I am still watching though and increased my review star to 2 until i am fully convinced.
Terrible customer service. I was denied verification on a trading website. Told by the trading company I need to contact Sumsub, so I did. And guess what? Surprise, surprise, Sumsub say I need to contact the trading company. Back and forth around four times now with no resolution. On and on it goes. Sumsub terrible software, customer service and no help or resolution offered or even an apology.
Sumsub has a KYC portal that is acting as a compliance system for Nicehash. I had to go through multiple steps only to have it fail repeatedly. The questionnaire is also non-exhaustive such that you potential are required to lie due to the truthful choice not being an available option. Worst KYC platform I've had the displeasure of using.
I tried to withdraw money from nicehash from my inactive account. I finished all steps and suddenly it requested me to make last step again. When I tried with my camera turned on, app refused to do it. 3 support tickets to nicehash, numerous emails to these guys. Closed tickets and generic responses. Two months still can not withdraw. Is it worth? Enjoy my money. I bet they pay them to stop on last step of vertification. They stealing from inactive accounts every month. Hope they will be both sued soon.
Dear SumSub,There is a technical Glitch in your system. I recently used your service while doing KYC verification @SmartPropTrading . On first attempt the ID document was verified and live face was not verified however on the 2nd attempt ID document was not verified while the live face video was verified. There is no 3rd attempt to verify hence because of This glitch in SumSub software I will not be getting compensation of more than 800$. Clearly Sumsub is a system used by companies to deny KYC verification professionally.I would advise everyone never to use SumSub as KYC since they are a total scam.
Sumsub KYC process is a toy for children ! It's the perfect example of software that just make us loose our time due to bad design and ilack of respect for end-user. I was stuck on camera face recognition, with a message "move your head slowly to complete the circle". No button "Take the photo NOW", "My face is not recognized", or "Houston, we'ge got a problem; as far as you are holding my money, please call a human to find a solution".I definitely know my face is pretty ugly, and that's probably the reason why the automation didn't work :-) Anyway, that does not change the result. An automation that does not offer a way to override it when it does not work is clearly unacceptable for a system that holds my money ! Boeing has killed people with non-deactivatable MCAS automatism on 737max. Today, Sumsub is stealing my money.--Moreover, as far as Sumsub seems to be not serious at all, I am wondering about the possible consequences, because I just sent valid copies of identity and address documents !
