I initially booked a taster session after speaking to a very polite and helpful lady over the phone. I was excited about beginning my swimming journey. However, the session was cancelled on the morning it was scheduled due to the instructor's unavailability. I understood that these things can happen and did not mind at the time.Due to my tight work schedule, I was unable to immediately reschedule. However, I received a call during the week encouraging me to rebook for Friday during my break. I agreed, as I was still keen to begin lessons.On the day, a work meeting overran, and I made sure to inform the instructor that I would be slightly late. She acknowledged this, and I proceeded to the venue expecting to be accommodated. To my surprise, I was rudely denied entry upon arrival, despite having communicated in advance.I called the Swim Now general inquiries number to explain the situation and express my concerns. Rather than receiving understanding or a solution, I was met with an alarmingly rude attitude. When I pointed this out and asked to speak with someone else, I was told my "energy" was being matched—a highly unprofessional and inappropriate response.Additionally, I had to consistently chase for basic information such as the venue location, as no confirmation email or terms and conditions were ever provided to me.I no longer wish to continue with Swim Now due to the way I was treated. While I was not initially expecting a refund, the dismissive and disrespectful treatment has made it clear that my request is more than justified.I hope Swim Now will reflect on this situation and treat future customers with more empathy and professionalism.
Swim now was the best thing I did. I panicked too much , I needed to regain my confidence the one to one intruction over the course gave me that. Evie my instructor was excellent. I went from doing a couple of strokes to doing lengths of the pool. At 75 years old I can now enjoy holidays with my family knowing I don't have to sit at the side of the pool. 13 best weeks of my life, thank you swim now.
My 10yr old son had an almost phobia like fear of being in the pool. Thanks to Daniel at the Glasgow lessons at St Rochs he’s really overcome this and is now on the way to fully swimming unaided. The lessons aren’t as cheap as elsewhere but for us they have definitely been worth that bit extra. Daniel is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend!!
My daughter and I had an amazing experience with the swimming lessons. The instructors were so kind, professional, and encouraging every step of the way. Excellent lessons. My daughter has been getting 1 on 1 lessons since June. Starting with not being able to swim, but having water confidence. She was assessed in terms of levels and then had bespoke lessons for her. Olivia (the coach at Sunderland Everlast) is a fantastic instructor. My daughter absolutely loves her. Her skills in swimming have improved massively. She's now only 6 and can swim in a range of different strokes, has even more water confidence and is able to swim on her own for long periods. If you're looking for one on one lessons. Would highly recommend.
My five-year-old son has been learning at Swim Now for seven months, and the experience has been fantastic. Coach Daniel is outstanding—he knows how to spark children’s interest in swimming and has excellent swimming skills. Over the past few months, my son’s swimming techniques have been thoroughly corrected, and he has mastered the basic skills.Although my son has been learned swimming since he was three, it is clear that one-to-one lessons have helped him progress much faster. The coach focuses on proper swimming techniques rather than just playing games without real improvement. The entire team is also great to communicate with, and the reception staff David is also really lovely.Overall, this has been a very satisfying experience.
Just be very careful of this company. Obviously franchise with little interest in having a good reputation. I enquired online and had a phone call soon after from what sounded like offshore person. Sounded good and agreed to pay £45 for a taster session. After put phone down decided to change mind and asked to cancel but in no uncertain terms was told not possible and would not refund the £45. My advice is to ask around and go with a local business who care and not just looking for a quick profit.
