The rings offered by Taylor & Hart are lovely but I am sad to say it's one of the worst customer service experience I've received in my life. Both my engagement ring and wedding band are from Taylor & Hart and I found that every query from resizing to purchasing my wedding band has been made difficult. Every time you email their customer service team a different person replies, even if it is on the same email thread. I found this causes further confusion, forcing me to explain the issue over and over again and I have also been advised different outcomes. The worst experience for me has been the purchase of my wedding band. Me and my fiancé went to try out wedding bands in December and the initial process was rather straight forward, as I knew I wanted the exact same band as used for my engagement ring. They did not have the exact ring to try in the showroom and as my fingers are very small all the rings were to big for me, making it difficult to see how they would sit next to my engagement ring. I wasn't worried about this initially and was ensure that wedding band as ordered would sit flushed against my engagement ring. We ordered the rings but when received I noticed straight away that the wedding band was much thicker than the band of my engagement ring, making it hit the prongs of my engagement ring and creating a large gap between the rings. I contacted the customer service team about it, which started a long thread of back and forth with several different people and I had to come in on multiple occasions to 'investigate'. In the end, they told me that since my engagement ring was bought they had updated their standard depth of the ring as they received a lot of rings back bent. As a matter of fact it turned out my engagement ring actually had this issue as well where it had formed around the shape of my finger, so wasn't perfectly round. I was offered to remake my engagement ring to match the depth of the wedding band, which I was advised would solve the issue of the rings sitting flushed together. I was happy with this solution, however, after receiving the ring back I found they are still not sitting perfectly flushed together which is the look I wanted. I have emailed Taylor & Hart back about this, but they are now just ignoring my emails. I am very disappointed with the service I received and I feel like they haven't really advised me correctly from the start. My frustration is added to by the fact that they tried to ship my engagement ring back to me by post although I specifically asked to collect it in person, and that they gave me back my rings in a pouch after I had left it in with the ring box and I had to ask to get the box back. This has happened to one of my friends as well who also have a Taylor & Hart engagement ring that needed repaired as her diamond fell out, so I feel like this is really unacceptable. After all of this I wouldn't recommend Taylor & Hart to anyone and if I had the choice, I would have purchased my rings elsewhere.
I did very much enjoy the initial consultation which led to the purchase of the ring with no problems at the time.I noticed I received an email inviting me to review very early after I got the ring. This is a bit of a red Flag as i work in CS (Customer Services) myself and find this to be because the company maybe be anxious about customer satisfaction with their organisaiton.The stone fell loose from the ring very close after my engagement so thankfully we were showing it off for about two weeks before this happened.This is not something i find acceptable and is directly in my view to do with craftmanship. As most people know, my purchase for my fiancée from this jeweler is one of the most important purchases a man or couple or anyone can make. full stop. I'd love to tell you this was great, but I must say that this is in the top half of a google search for a reason and that the reputation is doctored by this company and you should avoid this jeweler at all costs. Please avoid.
Amazing experience from start to finish. Juliet was there for us with any questions we had with both our engagement ring and personalised wedding ring. After us ordering the ring last minute Taylor & Hart went above and beyond to make sure the ring was ready for our wedding day and can’t thank them enough. We would highly recommend Taylor & Hart
Excellent customer care The staff really took their time and care with us, and made sure we were not rushed through the process. They were really knowledgeable and advised us accordingly. They were also able to reassure us on the ethical standards of their gem sourcing and were able to guarantee nothing was sourced from Israel.
Eloise Moreby was incredibly helpful and attentive. Helped find exactly what I was after and always replied quickly to make the process of purchasing a ring stress free and easy. Would definitely recommend taylor and hart, but especially Eloise for all of her help.
My partner's ring bent because the ruby at the back makes the gold ring lose its integrity. Tailor & hart said they will only fix it if I pay £1300 which is extortionate considering they have the gold from original ring and given that its a design flaw with the ring itself - you can see the crack where the ruby goes. My partner is devastated so just be careful using this company.
