The worst company I ever worked for

I worked for this company for two years, the beginning was ok, but it became a very bad experience for me. I was in many impossible situations with them, which even had a big toll on my mental health. They provide housing for workers, which is a big and appreciated benefit, don't get me wrong. However, they are no less than incompetent to take care of issues that might arise and require mediation between roommates when problems occur. In this company if you report a problem - you become the problem, as people who are in charge of fixing the problems don't seem toם enthusiastic to actually do their job. apart from maintenance people if there's a critical problem with electricity, light bulbs or such, which usually works fine. In one TP apartment after complaining I was threatened and bullied by one of the workers from the "Welcome and support" team. In a different TP apartment I was threatened by a roommate and it was decided that I am the one who needs to leave the apartment, the company knows he is a problematic person, but they keep him in the apartment anyway, so it's like to live in a world that the logic and common sense goes backwards. Also you are a second class tenant, elevator with a key? forget about the key so maybe you can use it instead of going up 3 floors when you go for grocery shopping. This company seems to attract at best, people without soft skills and, at worst, people with mental health problems to work for them and some of them even not able to manage their own life are chosen to be promoted. And many ego maniacs and control freaks. Speaking of a promotion, I was promoted 3 months in (QA), but was demoted months after mostly because my boss didn't like me or something I said, prior to that he even decided not to communicate with me almost, which made fulfilling my role challenging. there was no professional reason whatsoever which was given. This was reported to HR as an unjust demotion, but HR they also don't do anything, and you will hear from them months or a year after you wrote them usually.I moved to my own apartment and had no electricity or internet in the beginning, and there was zero consideration on their side - I had unjustified absences which I could not have compensate for - hurting my salary on a crucial month. And then I was fired when celebrating 2 years in the company, which was the exact point in time where I was supposed to receive a permanent contract. Another political decision, probably due to me having a medical permission not to work nights anymore, which was necessary due to my life circumstances, and the fact that they claim there will be a rotation, but in reality if they mark you and don't like you - it's possible you will be stuck in night shifts for 2-3 months. This company will do anything in its power to degrade you from a human being to feel like you are nothing, a number, a robot. So I highly recommend to avoid it altogether -weather it's doing business or working for them.

Managers don't know what they're doing

Managers don't know what they're doing, unreasonable business expectations and unfair standards rewarding those who avoid work and piling on stress and extra work for those who are completing jobs. Managers will send you DM's for not instantly finishing work when giving you more cases than it's possible to complete and then tell you that they can tell you whatever they want because they're managers while also telling you that you have to have more cases than you can handle as you need so many in your backlog but insist that they're allowed to tell you whatever they want and push you for having even one case you haven't started out of 70 cases they want in your backlog. Completely inhuman.

Horrible

TP UK - Just Horrible After suffering for years working for this company, having to deal with discrimination, favouritism, racism, I decided to leave for something else only for them to try to scam me off my last payment - salary. Very disorganised, team managers always seem to be away on meetings and trainings. Not attentive or around enough.Modern day slavery that demands you to take abuse from callers non stop, and then managers will track your every move and judge you even if you went to the toilet. Mental health? Non existent throughout. Very difficult to get in touch with payroll only via email. They made “adjustments” on my final two pays and now trying to scam me to tell me I am not owed the money I worked for. If I could take the years working for this company back I would. Disgusting treatment

INSTITUTIONAL RACISM

The only words I can use to describe this organization is INSTITUTIONAL Racism and MODERN DAY SLAVERY.It's shameful that the UK authority are aware of this act and they didn't take any responsibility to investigate and do anything about it. If your mental health is very important to you, STAY AWAY from this organization.........

⚠️ DO NOT WORK FOR THEM

⚠️ DO NOT WORK FOR THEMI wasted six years of my life working for this place, and calling it a “great place to work” is an outright joke. I was on the Student Finance campaign, and the experience was nothing short of miserable. The training was a disaster — two weeks of mind‑numbing PowerPoint slides, then straight onto live calls with barely any understanding of the systems or the queries we were expected to handle. The systems constantly crashed, ran at a snail’s pace, and even cost me pay because of technical failures that were completely out of my control. They love to claim they’ll support you, but the truth is the opposite. Management don’t help, they don’t guide, and they certainly don’t care. They focus on every tiny mistake, ignore anything positive, and make it clear that you’re disposable. The culture is toxic from the top down. If you want to progress, you’re expected to kiss backsides, stay silent, and agree with everything — independent thought howdare you think for yourself your a robot.Their low ratings aren’t a coincidence; they’re a warning. You will be overworked, underpaid, and treated as if you’re easily replaceable. There is zero appreciation, zero respect, and zero genuine support. Leaving was the best decision I made, and I would never go back. If you value your mental health, your dignity, or your time, avoid this place completely.IF i could leave zero stars i would

If only Wilberforce were alive today

If you bring considerable skills to your job including a wide knowledge-base and the ability to work in a difficult and challenging environment, and you consider minimum wage and unpaid breaks a fitting reward for your skill set, then this is the corporation for you. If you work in stressful conditions and prefer a ‘well done’ or a ‘gold star’ to a monetary bonus, then this is the corporation for you. If you ask for further training because you have been ill-equipped to do the job competently, and you are met with outright hostility, then this is the corporation for you. If you have a heartfelt desire to see directors and shareholders living the life of riley while you wonder if you’ll be able to get away this year, this could be the corporation for you. If you are absolutely desperate and at your wits end but too proud to work on a checkout, this could be the corporation for you. If you admire corporate values like integrity, respect, innovation, collaboration and excellence and secretly hope they really exist, then this may not be the corporation for you.And by the way, did you know that you should be paid for opening-up time if you were working from home? Your employer must pay you from when you start work. On my 'campaign' I calculated it took between 6 and 8 minutes to open up multiple software and platforms etc before starting at 9am, but we were told to enter 9am on our time sheets. After I left I successfully argued opening-up took considerably more than a couple of minutes (look up the 'de minimis' principle in law) and that I should be paid for the 7 minutes. They agreed! That's £350 a year. Please tell anyone you know who has left or still works there. I claimed retrospectively, so can you.

Avoid

In my case, information given during the interview was not correct which caused me to work in an additional language for free for the first months.I worked in English, Swedish and Polish but only Swedish was covered by the language bonus. During my interview, the interviewer told me that I would be getting the bonus for working in Polish, so I happily did that not knowing the reality of it. After discussing the situation with my Swedish colleagues who got the bonus, it became clear that I was working for free in an additional language. When confronting the interviewer later on, who was also my new team lead, I was met with arrogance but ultimately did not have to work in Polish.Communication with my supervisors regarding new tasks was near non-existent. There is a constant shift of responsibilities as mentioned by another poster. You will get to hear supervisors openly speaking about agents' performance (and other supervisors) in front of everyone and not in a nice way.Despite being quite a colorful place with people from everywhere, there is a culture among some German supervisors, making discriminatory jokes if you happen to be Polish.I caught my manager red-handed sending personal messages about me to another agent (screenshotted & reported to the whistleblower team). On my last day and when trying to return my items my supervisors kind of forgot that a document needs to be signed to confirm me handing over the things. The document was locked in the HR office to which my team leader did not have access to and the HR was working from home on that day. They reserved an amount from my salary to ensure proper handover of equipment but did not make it possible for me to return in on my last day. No reimbursement for their mistake was given nor any acknowledgement of it despite me having to travel another day and pay the traveling expenses myself. Of course they don't mind you doing that, because you are under the threat of losing your money if you don't return the things. :)
