Review Time
I have a long history in the phone industry. I'm not super old yet but I have worked half my life in the cellphone world. With those years, I have been sick 4 times to where I missed work. 4 days in 17 years. I think that is Impressive. Only missing 4 days all together unless it was a vacation that was planned a minimum of 90 days in advance. I decided I wanted to try working in a call center doing apple care because I have never done it. I wanted to mark it off my list. I did a 4 or 5 hour interview in Boise. Passed no problem. Until 2 days later(today). I was notified that I am now ineligible due to a blemish on my criminal record.... I totally get records. They are not good and nothing to take lightly. But mine was over 6 years ago, it wasn't a violent crime, it wasn't a theft crime, it wasn't a drug crime and it wasn't a list of crimes. It was me making a dumb mistake that I paid my time for. I wasn't proud of it. But I did do the crime.... Over 6 years ago. I have tried my hardest to over come this obstacle. I have done everything in my power to do so. But this place doesn't believe in people. They can't see past a mistake someone made.... Over 6 years ago. With those attitudes we will never overcome bigger obstacles in America. How are we going to show our children things like #metoo and slavery and tell them we need to get passed it. We can't when people like this are holding us back from bettering our lives any way we can.
