Account was suspended within minutes of signing up due to a $0.06 negative balance -- how is that even possible, I just signed up?!! Then I couldn't add funds because their identity verification (Linkedin and GitHub) failed, despite both accounts being active and in good standing (I was literally in GitHub building the product while I was trying to sign up with Telnyx!). So I'm locked out of a frozen account with no way to resolve It. Support is message-only with no ETA.

I chose Telnyx for a production SMS project based on their competitive pricing. Instead I wasted hours on account setup and have nothing to show for it. If their onboarding is this broken, I can't trust them with production traffic. Moving to another provider. You've been warned, stay away!!!

Completely unacceptable service.

This organization is utterly disappointing. They disabled our account without any prior notice, citing a lack of support for our use case, despite their representative being aware of our activities for nearly a year. Now, they allege we violated their accepted use policy but refuse to provide any further information. I strongly recommend seeking alternatives.

User-friendly due to clear documentation and straightforward APIs. Voice and messaging features operate seamlessly after setup. However, number verification may take a few days, particularly in Sweden. The support team does respond, but their replies can be slow.

Stray away from this company!

I would highly recommend against using Telnyx LLC -- it seems that this company does not care about its customers and new business should stay away from it.First, Telnyx was associated with a huge fine of roughly $4.5 million from the FCC because its VoIP services were implicated in a massive robocall / fraud scheme (approximately 1800 illegal calls in 17 hours). They deny any wrongdoing, and they assert that they took immediate action once they became aware, but the depth of the violation raises serious questions about oversight, controls, and how safe your account or traffic really is.Second, Telnyx was also a respondent in a discrimination complaint for citizenship discrimination under the anti-discrimination section of immigration law (8 U.S.C. 1324b). [Department of Justice] While the case was eventually dismissed after a settlement, the fact that it happened at all raises concerns about internal practices.Finally, a colleague of mine who also uses Telnyx had his account breached two or more times in the same month with a ridiculous amount of charges appearing out of nowhere, and when the customer service was brought in, they permanently shut down the account, which caused a HIGHLY detrimental effect on his company and clients. Very unprofessional.I HIGHLY recommend staying away from this company due to too many red flags, constant compromises, and lack of customer support.

Completely Unusable Service – Locked Out for Weeks, Zero Real Support

I’ve been a Telnyx customer for some time, but these last few weeks have been an absolute nightmare. Since October 8, 2025, I have been completely locked out of my account due to a serious flaw in their login system — and despite reaching out multiple times via email and live chat, I’ve still received no real resolution.When trying to log in on my laptop, I’m prompted to “confirm a code on another device.” The problem? Telnyx doesn’t even have an app capable of communicating with the browser, so there is no device that can receive the code. There’s also no option to send the code to the verified phone number set up for two-factor authentication, which defeats the entire purpose of having 2FA in the first place. As a result, my account (and API access) have been completely unusable.I first contacted support on October 8, and the only initial reply from an agent (“Akshata”) was one sentence: “Please email [redacted as not allowed on trust plot].” That was their entire response to an emergency that was halting my business operations.It then took four days (until October 12) for another agent (“Sam”) to respond — and after providing detailed verification info, my ticket was suddenly closed by October 13 without any resolution.On October 14, I sent a full escalation email explaining the issue again in detail. I made it clear that Telnyx’s login system was broken and that I had already emailed all addresses provided. I specifically requested escalation to a manager (Karl) and immediate assistance. Instead, I was told yet again to “contact [redacted as not allowed on trust plot]” — the same unresponsive address I had already emailed multiple times.I kept following up daily, sending increasingly urgent messages, but it wasn’t until October 22 (nearly two weeks later) that someone finally replied to the original email chain — and even then, they didn’t seem to have read the previous context, asking for the same information I had already given several times.To summarize:First contact: October 8First reply: minimal response, same dayNext meaningful response: October 12 (4 days later)Ticket closed prematurely: October 13Escalation email: October 14Email reply delay: 8 days between October 14 and October 22Issue still unresolved as of October 23That’s over two weeks of downtime, no reliable access, and no effective communication from Telnyx support. Their “live chat” is anything but live — it’s a message board where responses take days. Their verification system is broken, and their email support is virtually nonexistent.Because of this issue, my business operations were completely disrupted, and I’m now being forced to move services to Twilio instead. I’ve even had to consider filing chargebacks for payments made to Telnyx since I’ve received zero service during this time.If you’re considering using Telnyx — don’t. Their login system is broken, their support structure is dysfunctional, and their delays can leave you locked out for weeks with no help in sight. I would strongly advise any serious business to look elsewhere.

I’ve been using Telnyx services for quite a long time, and I’m extremely satisfied. The support team is excellent I always receive quick and accurate responses to my inquiries, which is rare these days. The management platform is very intuitive, well-designed, and easy to use, even for more complex needs. Everything works reliably and smoothly, and the overall experience has been outstanding from the start.
