Review Time
Don't Buy Here!Bought items via online platform, thinking they are set up for these transactions. It took 3 weeks to provide a quote for shipping and then when the lot eventually arrived it it was so badly packed it was many parts were loose in the box. Never again!
Really their service is a joke, and most people use it because there isn’t many alternatives. The matching bid issue is a real problem plus their auction houses can get away with showing no actual descriptions and using photos that can misrepresent the condition of an item. I've also lost count of the number of times I've 'asked a question' of the auction and not had a reply.Funniest thing though is their answers to their reviews - have you noticed they just use standard paragraph replies? They can't even be bothered to have someone read them, it's AI crawling through and offering thanks for the positive (the ‘amazing treasures’ one) and vapid platitudes for negatives. Bid direct if you can (many auction houses have a version of an online platform now) as you'll pay less and get a better service. Cue the ‘….We truly care about our customers and we always aim to provide the best service possible….’ reply. ;)
Auction Revolution Ltd London sells high end luxury watches and parts or that is what you would think. I purchased several luxury branded items to when I received them they were fakes… I contacted James from Auction Revolution who wasn’t very interested even though I sent them back to him to inspect he still hasn’t replied. I would not buy from them again and if you have check your items as they may not be the real deal….
So , used this site and bid ( using the my max bid for 4 items -Watched as lost first one last week no probs - then 3 others were today My max bid won 3 out of 3 , so thought ok .But guess what, the third item at Mendip auctions ( lot 55 ) a bid identical to my max bid £160.00 was matched in the room ? And that is the winner .Now , if I had lost by a penny or a pound no issue but this is shall we say taking the pee .So my last time using Sale room after these transactions ( and failed matching bid transaction ) as it’s made me realise it’s just not a fair playing field and this is bizarre as to how justified .I have given one star as zero was not available Ps seen your standard reply - good bye waste of time - to everyone out there other websites available but to be honest bored with the auctions world as not level playing field as proved today
8 months of asking for a copy of the complaints policy following a really disappointing experience of buying a ‘diamond’ ring which turned out to be a lab diamond. I was assured they were a trusted partner before I parted with my cash - I noticed the seller was quickly offloaded when I raised my concerns and they then changed their advice on how and what to advertise to users - they are still refusing to take any responsibility. I’m gutted - loved this hobby - such a small amount to recompense - but requests being ignored month after month for the complaints process so I can at least make some real progress with this. I am all about fairness and transparency and this is a painful and upsetting process.
