Review Time
I have always bought my fishing gear local, I will also continue to do so as it is good to support local tackle shops. However since getting into angling more seriously this year their was certain gear they could not obtain which lead me to looking online the past week, I came to two companies the first one Angling Direct, whom I almost put a £300.00 order in with, but for some reason their website was playing up so came across Tackle Tavern, I ended up splitting the order as found tackle tavern prices were more competitive than Angling Direct, now here comes the efficient part, on my first experience with both companies both ordered were placed on the 2nd June quite late at night, the next morning I had a courier & tracking number and then got an email from Royal Mail to tell me my order would arrive on the 4th amazing! Efficient and customer kept informed, now onto Angling Direct…. We are the 5th of June and my order is still processing no courier or tracking number and not a single update from them… I am pleased to say all the gear was packed well with sufficient protection for all the products and they arrived in immaculate condition. Now that I have tried both companies I think it’s safe to say I will only be returning to Tackle Tavern moving forward. Well done Tackle Tavern 👌🏻
I started shopping with 'Tackle Tavern' primarily due to becoming alienated from Angling Direct. The main reason I chose Tackle Tavern was that they provide as standard something you have to pay a yearly subscription for at the other company I mentioned (ok, it is above £40 to qualify for free next day rather than £25 - but at AD you've already paid a subscription, there shouldn't be a minimum spend).I've placed several orders with Tackle Tavern now and all but one went perfectly - rapid dispatch and next day delivery. The only problem was due to a 'pre-loved' rod being a little tricky to find - which is perfectly understandable.I've had several interactions with their customer service via e mail and they are always polite and very keen to help. Angling direct became increasingly passive aggresive to me towards the end (I'll admit, I can be tricky when annoyed - but I was never directly rude or unreasonable) - they clearly didn't want my custom anymore but were too cowardly to make a decision which would have been best for all concerned. I notice on the Tackle Tavern google review page that they had to deal with a nightmare customer (who was being unreasonable) - and they had the courage to actually tell that person that their custom was no longer wanted. They rose above the toxicity of that customer without becoming toxic themselves. I'm sure they have their reasons but AD bring the toxicity to interactions (and I'm sad to say I wasn't strong like Tackle Tavern and responded in kind - but not any more).Respect to you Tackle Tavern. I like the cut of your jib, and I like the way you do business. I look forward to shopping with you in the future. Cheers.
Been shopping at tackle tavern for a while now and the team there are spot on! But there is one what stans out and that is Cameron. The service and knowledge that man has got it second to none. The 5 star service is bang on. Thanks Cameron you've help me no end 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Once again a brilliant service from the guys from tackle tavern,brilliant prices and 99% of the time they have what I need,and to top it off free next day delivery when you spend over £40,plus they also have the best prices on most products than other companies,I highly rate this company and all the staff that work there,always willing to help and give advice when needed,top guys and I thank you all cheers 🍻 👏 ✌️ 👍 😀
Ordered 3 items Friday. 2 cheaper than elsewhere and the 3rd the same price as every other place on the Internet. Just chose free delivery and was looking at Monday. It came the Saturday morning. Cannot moan in the slightest, will be back for more!
Ordered a fox easy shelter plus, which developed a fault main pole snapped contacted them about problem and sent photos of broken bit, told they would contact fox, after a week I contacted again to be told they will check with fox then to be told it was in fox courier system? Then was offered replacement from tackle tavern stock why they couldn't of done that in the first place I don't know so sent me new bivvy via DHL this is where the problems start driver has failed to turn up turned up early, not turned up when supposed to I have taken time off work. These problems are DHL but tackle tavern employ DHL to deliver customers parcels so there as much to blame.tackle tavern insist that I am there when driver delivers because he has to check return driver is not going to know what I am giving him I could be giving him a bag of potatoes for all he knows, he could deliver and collect from shed in garden no problems. I have asked tackle tavern 3 times to cancel my order and refund my money and they have not I have opened a case through PayPal to get my money back.I bought this bivvy because I have arthritis in my wrists and found it easy, the main pole snapped when I folded it up I read instruction and youtube video and it can't of been because I was heavy handed because of my arthritis so there's obviously a fault with the pole and the fact fox sell them as spares makes you think. Tackle tavern say its not a fault as they have sold hundreds, I don't think fox have made hundreds, more lies. What made me really laugh was i was told that next time I placed an order to contact them first so I wouldn't have these problems, yeah like I am going to be ordering again.PLEASE CANCEL MY ORDER AND REFUND MY MONEY
