Review Time
A component for a repair job ordered from a regular Sydney supplier on Friday the 11th July was picked up by Toll and transported to Brisbane arriving the next day 12th July. I was hoping to have it maybe 15th, nope, it stayed there for the next 13 days. The tracking never changed, I did 3 live chats with toll because you can no longer phone anyone and after the last chat I realised that who ever I was chatting to must have been in a Phillipines call centre due to the bad grammar. After 3 chats 4 days apart I was told that it had been escalated and someone would contact me with in 24 hrs on 2 of the chats. I had the supplier trying to chase it from their end to no avail either.I have filled out their complaint form on their website with no reply as they obviously just don't care. After almost 2 weeks and still no correspondence and tracking not changing the item finally arrived at 4pm yesterday 24th to my surprise. The supplier was about to send me another part which I hurriedly called to cancel. Thanks for absolutely the worst service Toll I have ever experienced.
Consistently poor service. Do not deliver with the excuse that no one is home when the property is occupied. Happens regularly. No attempt to make contact by knocking on the door. Old school concept that the Jehovah Witness can manage with ease, and they are not a logistics company.
Update: Here we are 10 days later. Amazon sent me some items 2 days after this review and used TOLL again, and again the local TOLL depot (Rockhampton but I think is actually in Gracemere) has had my parcel for well over a week. Delivery was meant to be yesterday. I am sick of this company. Stop using these companies to save a few pennies folks.Have my parcel at the local depot (Rockhampton) for a week now. When I inquire where it is as the final day for delivery is today and no notice of it being out for delivery via tracking just get told "Sorry, it might be there tomorrow, maybe. Keep checking the tracking. bye"This happens every time when I am sent items via TOLL. What would take a couple of days with most couriers or Australia post, always takes 10x as long with TOLL.I'd give zero stars if I could. I'm going to avoid any company that uses them in future when possible. Which can be a challenge as Amazon sellers seem to be using them more and more these days.Seriously, these guys have replaced Fastway/Aramex as Australia's worst delivery company. And that's saying something. Aramex has actually been getting good with deliveries recently, TOLL should take a lesson from them.Ridiculous delivery times, worse that they hold your items for so long when I literally live a 5 minute drive from their location. Seriously over a week for what should have been a next day delivery once they receive the items. And the items were sent and being received in the same state, not like these are international deliveries. (I get things from China faster via regular AusPost than I do locally through TOLL)Any other courier I'd have my items already. Like a week ago.I'm a patient guy, but how long TOLL takes is just ridiculous.Bonus complaint: My last delivery from TOLL, some sensitive electronic equipment, on a Saturday, where both I and my wife were home and front door wide open, they didn't knock, and did they put the box in one of the many dry areas available?Nope, put the box down on top of a puddle. And the box looked like it had been in a game of footy....Thankfully the contents were ok.It's like this every damn time with TOLL.Never had a delivery on time with them. Also, also. Good luck with tracking. If you google Toll Tracking. The TOLL sites? Your tracking numbers will not work. Instead you have to go to some myteamge site, which has almost nothing on it about being related to TOLL. Backwards is the only way to describe it.
I have had two experiences with Toll. The first with eight delivery of a mobile phone from Syphonez. After waiting several weeks, I cancelled, and then it was delivered. I had to send it back by Australia Post. Recently with Amazon. Toll supposedly tried to deliver in November. It was picked up on the Amazon website as lost and they processed the return. It was then delivered just before Christmas am left out in the open when I was away. Toll obviously claimed it was delivered because it was then shown as such on the Amazon website. Again, i returned it via reliable Australia Post.I am in a regional area.
We received a SMS message indicated that the parcel will be delivered between 12.30pm to 2.30pm. We were home all day. At 3.30pm, we received another SMS message saying that "attempted delivery" and we need to collect it from the nearest post office. This is the worst service. This is not the first time it happens. If I have a choice, I would avoid Toll at all cost!
Waiting on an item all day, have not left home, front door open.Look at the status to check where it is and it says an attempted delivery was made and they couldn't leave.ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!!!!Nobody made an attempted delivery.Check the GPS of the driver to see that he/she didn't come anywhere near my house.
Never use this company! After ordering a suitcase from Amazon for upcoming travel I have never been quite so mcked around. No updates from TOLL and ther occasasional email gave me THREE different times. Eve ntually I contacted TOLL (after waiting 3 hrs and trying for some time to actally find a contact number-I was informed that my item had been out for felivery but hadn't made the delivery schedule, then had been taken back to the depot (miles aay!!) and had 'inadvertently' not been loaded the next day. I thern recieved from Amazon an email informing me that the customer (me!) had refused delivery of an item that had never been delivered! Thankfully Amazon also informed me I would be getting a refund once TOLL returned it to them, saving me the hassle. What I wanted of course was the suitcase, but TOLL couldn't manage that. Every other delivery I have had from other companies have arrived, even at this busy period. I can but hope that TOLL actually manages to return it meanwhile I'll simply buy a suitcase from a local shop.
Ordered two large Christmas gifts on-line.They were sent and tracked by the company and arrived on the Gold Coast 6 days later. A week after being on the Gold Coast, which is within 10 kms of the delivery address, I have contacted Toll twice. 1 hour wait last week and today, still on "hold" now after 2 hours waiting for customer service. Cannot write to Toll, cannot phone Toll, cannot communicate in any way. No Christmas gifts this year!
