I saw their ad on Instagram and was intrigued. I order 2 pens and a few bottles of ink and I immediately became obsessed. Since then, I have ordered 3 more pens and more lots more ink and I plan to purchase more in the future. They are designed well, they write well, packed well and are moderately priced. And they are just downright pretty! I could not be happier!
I have bought several pens from Tom's Studio now - 2 gorgeous Lumos pens (that I use with a brush nib on one end and a fine liner on the other), a beautiful little Wren with recycled lid, an amazing Bloom calligraphy pen and, more recently, the most wonderful fountain pen. I've also bought, of course, nibs and inks to go with. Tom's Studio is just an amazing company on every level. Customer support every time has been amazing - whether I've had technical questions or wanted to change something in an order etc. They are always super responsive and helpful and friendly. Even during the hectic Christmas period!!! Their products are out-of-this-world - I really do feel a huge gratitude for what a difference these lovely pens make in my life. They allow these little mindful moments in my day of writing out a quote or a thought, or sketching an image, and enjoying everything about the experience - which comes down to amazing craftsmanship. The pens are all gorgeous to hold, lovely to use in every way (changing inks and nibs - and the range of both) and produce beautiful calligraphy or art. And on top of that they're environmentally ethical in a way that's very well thought through - everything from their packaging to the materials they use in production, to the fact that these pens genuinely do replace disposable pens (which was what brought me to Tom's Studio in the first place). Fabulous pens with a great range of nibs, I have 3 so far.Different sized nibs in each, love my Wren which gets the most use. I do get my fingers covered in ink changing colours or nib width, getting better with practice. After a double ended Lumos for my birthday 🎂
This is my third order, I ordered a Wren for myself and was thrilled with it! I hate biros and gel pens so this was perfect! I love the sustainability and company ethos. I lost my pen 🥲 and was devastated so ordered a replacement, and subsequently found the original so have 2. My latest order was for a gift, I’m sure that the recipient will be as thrilled as I am. Keep doing what you do, lovely pens.
Purchased a black Wren - shipped to Canada. Good online experience and items were well packaged. Tea bag was a nice touch, and it was good tea! Delightful little pen, very portable and attractive in a minimalistic way. Easy to ink and writes beautifully, rather like a felt tip pen. You can use almost any fountain pen ink - I'm using Platinum Carbon Black, which is working beautifully. Though intended for writing, it's definitely versatile and usable for sketching. Diminutive size makes it easy to slip in a pocket or bag, so it's my go to whenever I'm out and about. Unlike my fountain pens, this won't leak, and it doesn't need to be babied. Though tough and made of metal (aluminium?), it's somehow still soft to the touch and not slippery. I can't quite describe the soft tactility of the coating, but it's definitely very pleasant. Overall, beautifully engineered. One small criticism, when posted the cap has a bit of "give", but that's an acceptable compromise if you appreciate its size, which I do. Worthy of 5 stars. I bought spare ink reservoirs and tips so I expect to have this Wren for many many years, which is Tom's raison d'etre.
I received a Wren pen as a gift for Christmas and I love the fact that using it feels like a ritual - it requires me to slow down a little and bring an element of presence to writing. The pen writes beautifully and I love experimenting with with different colours. I loved it so much that I bought one for a friend’s 50th and had it engraved.
Amazing products and such great quality - the Lumos Duo, Lumos Mini, The Wren… and amazing inks! I’ve already purchased six… and customer service has been quick and very helpful! I highly recommend this company and their products.

The idea for Tom's business came from watching his wife Gemma use a plastic mass-produced calligraphy pen which he felt didn't match the quality of her beautiful work.
