The service and delivery is great, the quality of the pens are amazing, I started out with just a lumos, but now I have the lumos duo gift set , the wren and the field mouse. These pens go everywhere with me. The nibs are excellent quality, run smoothly and Tom’s inks are superb with fabulous colours too. The studio pad paper is so smooth, great for art work and writing. So great to be environmentally friendly too, with an easy refill system. I am very pleased with my purchases and will continue to add to the collection no doubt!
I've got 3 pens and 2 are perfect. One arrived with small blemishes, which I contacted them about and they offered to replace it. I love the product, the packaging is amazing, so beautiful I've kept it all (even the Wren outer cover that the dog chewed!) delivery was very prompt, communication was good and their Customer Support was helpful.
I ran across Tom's Studio on Facebook, and I liked what I saw, a pen that I can use for the rest of my life, and I will never have to buy disposable pens again. I really liked that idea and so I bought one.I fell in love with the first pen and ordered a second one. The writing is smooth and the flow of ink is consistent. And I love the fact that I can change to whatever color of ink I am in the mood for daily.Super fast shipping was an added bonus!
I ordered a Lumos mini from Tom's Studio and it's become one of my favorite pens. It's so well made and makes my sketching sessions a joy. It is important to me that things I buy not only are sustainable but functional as well. I expect I'll be enjoying using my mini for many years to come.
I asked for a wren pen for Christmas as I love the idea of sustainable writing and the gorgeous colours. Before I got mine I bought my brother one for Christmas too. Unfortunately, when I’ve come to use the pen, I find it too short and too bulky and I’m not able to write nicely with it. I don’t have the biggest hands but for me it is too short. I now feel guilty that I bought my brother one because I know that if I tried it first, I wouldn’t have. I really like the idea but unfortunately, I think I’ve got an expensive pen that I don’t enjoy using.
I purchased my first LUMOS back in December 2023 and have not looked back. The LUMOS has a slim design that some might find a little awkward to use, but I don't mind it at all. I tend to keep it with black ink, and it is my main home writing pen now.To reduce the need to change tips and reservoirs frequently when I wanted a colour change, I purchased a DUO in Feb 2024, along with a few more spare tips and reservoirs. They had also started making the little tip storage pots by this time, allowing me to swap the nibs and colours with fair ease.I have also purchased a WREN, which lives on my desk at work. Many might find this a more comfortable writing experience than the LUMOS; the pen is a little chunkier, but I find both comfortable.I recently purchased a LUMOS mini with the loop lid, which I have attached to my keys, so I have a pen on the go. My only comment is that the coating has been damaged by my keys, so if I were to consider this now, I would suggest an "unfinished/uncoated" version, which would be more scratch-resistant.I have also purchased a number of the inks for use with my collection, and while getting a WREN for a gift for a friend, I contacted customer service for some assistance. You see, two of the inks from my early purchase do not have the new Tom's Studio labels. The customer service team have been exceptionally helpful and will dispatch these labels for me to put on the bottles myself, as I have now set up a little display of Inks near my desk, and it will make the whole collection look more cohesive.
I’d previously purchased a Wren and a Lumos pen from Tom’s Studio. Since then, I have andded the Lumos Duotip to my new collection. Each pen is beautifully made, feels good in the hand and writes incredibly smoothly. In fact, I now dislike writing with any other pens. Even better, they are a sustainable solution to disposable pens. Easy to refill and feel as though they will last a lifetime. Excellent service and excellent product.

Hand-crafting creative tools you'll look forward to using every day and treasure for the rest of your life. The idea for Tom's business came from watching his wife Gemma use a plastic mass-produced calligraphy pen which he felt didn't match the quality of her beautiful work. With his background in furniture and product design which he studied at university and his experience of working in a blacksmith's forge, he decided to make her a better pen that she would love using every day.See more
