I had a very disappointing experience with Toys Central.
First, I received the wrong item in my order. I ordered a board game costing £140, but instead received an expansion that is about £70 cheaper and cannot even be used on its own because it requires the base game that I originally ordered.
When I contacted customer support, their response was to offer me a 25% discount on a future order, which does not solve the problem at all. The item they sent me is unusable without the base game, and I’m certainly not planning to place another order after this experience.
I replied asking either for the correct game to be sent or for a full refund and instructions on how to return the incorrect item, but I have now been ignored for two days, even though their automatic reply states they respond within 12 hours.
This game was meant to be a gift and it was not cheap, so the situation is extremely frustrating. The customer service and response time are very poor, and the suggested solution showed very little understanding of the issue.
Extremely disappointing experience. The phone line only provided automated responses, and the chat agent disconnected when I wasn't active for 120 seconds. My order never arrived, and it was a gift from a friend who didn't realize it was three times pricier than at the brand store.
If I could rate it lower, I definitely would. I ordered an item on the 20th of November and was told it would ship within 7-14 days. After six weeks and numerous emails, I was told it was lost, then that it was out of stock. They offered a replacement that was also delayed. On January 3rd, I was finally offered a refund or a credit note. After all the trouble, I can't imagine ordering from them again. My granddaughter was very disappointed not to receive her Christmas present. Avoid this company at all costs.
A frustrating experience from beginning to end. They present themselves as a UK company with a UK phone number, but in reality, they are based in the US. My return cost me £56 due to customs on an item worth less than £300. They claim a 14-day return policy, but it's actually seven days from when they provide the US address, and they delay the refund until their warehouse is open to confirm receipt, which I still haven't received. The phone line goes unanswered, and the webchat is just a bot that also isn't responsive. It took me over a dozen emails just to obtain an address. Do not purchase!
I ordered an item online and received confirmation it was ready for dispatch. Later, I was informed it was out of stock. They tried to sell me a different item, which I declined. I requested a refund, but they offered a voucher instead and I had to insist on the refund before they agreed, stating it would take five working days. That time has passed with no refund, and the item remains listed for sale despite being out of stock. There's something suspicious about their operations, and I now need to pursue a chargeback through my card provider.
