I use Tuta as my primary personal email carrier because I don't want spam and I don't want emails from anyone, at any time, for any reason and under any circumstance unless it is a person who wants to communicate with me or a service who's emailing list I subscribed to.
I am the Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars A New Hope of email users who doesn't want to be bothered. While using Tuta I go days, sometimes weeks without receiving an email from anyone. Tutanota delivers that experience. I have been using Tuta since 2019 from back when they were Tutanota. I am a paid user.
I started using Tuta in response to my old Yahoo email receiving increased spam during the pandemic, forcing users to watch ads, preventing users from using Yahoo email while using ad blockers and having to view partisan politics related articles on the Yahoo website before logging into my email via the web app. Tutanota doesn't push news stories or politics.

I like Tuta mail because it’s private and secure. It functions well on my android and apple devices. The updates or timely and useful. My son uses it and recommended it to me. I’ve used it for 2 years now and will continue using it.
I would like to see a feature added so that users can block any email received with a "block this sender" option. Proton already has this and I find it very useful. Users need some way of always blocking potentially dangerous and time-wasting emails. Apart from that Tuta meets my requirements for a secure email provider. Excellent, this is already available which I overlooked. Review upgraded to 5-star.
Rating 1 star because you can't rate zero or negative. Tuta mail is canine excreta. Randomly won't log in. Randomly puts important mail from people that you already sent emails to previously, in the spam folder. Also, any email from China even though I spend lots of time in China. The client downloads at 12 kb/s on fibre. It tells you that the web client needs update but is not smart enough to update itself, unlike EVERY single other web app, even one programmed by a 5 year old. I don't know what joke tuta is the punchline to, and haven't got time to spend messing about trying to find out.
I really love what they've accomplished so far!! No spam, real privacy, a clear and simple overview of everything!The only thing I have on my wishlist is a snooze-function ... PLEASE!Thank you, and for all your continuous efforts!
They are on top of all the security issues I have incurred in the past and currently experiencing. The Tuta Support staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring. They respond in a very timely manner. I absolutely love Tuta and can’t live without it. I’m still learning how to better protect my electronics and footprints.
