Randomly Block UsersAwful experience. They blocked my account without warning or reason. Demanded ransom like payment to restore it. When I tried creating new account, first they placed it on hold, then silently deleted it with zero explanation or notification. Support is nonexistent. Platform is useless, predatory, and clearly designed to trap and monetize users rather than serve them. Avoid at all costs.UPD. I understand. I understand it very well. I understand it so well that I will not use your service ever again.
Tuta just gets better, it keeps moving forward. It's one of few services I don't mind paying a reasonable price for. I also like that it is open source (Linux user here). While it is based in Germany it follows General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe. While some believe Switzerland based email is better; after some research feel more comfortable with Tuta. I am in the USA and use gmail but not for anything I really care about. Still migrating some often used website/vendors over to Tuta.
I’m in my second year using tuta as my main email (paid tier). I have no complaints: it has been almost flawless. If there would be anything I think could be improved it would be the spam filter. It is a bit too eager. However, they just released an update to spam handling, so maybe it’s already resolved.
Been using Tuta(Nota) for over five years. One of the top 3 most secure and privacy-focused email providers. Simple, straightforward, and no fuss interface on web and mobile. Not overloaded with unnecessary bells and whistles. Just gets the job done, and I have trust my personal emails, private information, and contact relationships aren’t being scrapped to train AI or sold to marketers. Search could be a bit more robust.
I loved my experience with Tuta ever since. Surely moving from gmail to land here has been a big step. Now I feel safer and I don't regret at all the 2 seconds more I gladly take to log-in into most of the online services. I believe Tuta is worth, and the people working in the company are doing an amazing job to improve their service daily
I moved to Tuta about 18 months ago. It has really been worth switching from gmail to Tuta. I’m happy with the low price, and the ethics behind the company. Renewable energy powering the servers is important to me. I don’t personally use calendar, etc, only email, and it meets my needs well. I'm looking forward to the new undo send feature.I’d give Tuta Mail 4.5 stars. I use the app on my apple phone, and the app on my MacBook. Both crash closed sometimes. It’s not a big issue or irritation to me, I just reopen the app (and that’s why I mark down half a star). I recommend and support Tuta.
After a bumpy start I'm quite happy with Tutamail.I've had Tuta (Legendary) since November 2025. I couldn't use the desktop app all of December due to an issue with external calendars which cause extreme lag. After lots of back and forth with customer service, unsubscribing fixed it, but now I cannot subscribe to external calendars - only manually import events, which isn't the worst to be fair. Customer service does answer within 1 working day as advertized, but do note that that applies once a day, meaning that if the issue isn't solved, it may take weeks to fix given the relative slow response rate. The import function worked like a charm and I'm a big fan of the interface. Both on android and in windows, but especially on Android, the performance is a bit laggy and slow, but consider this isn't a giant company like Google and they're not spying on you. I assume it'll get better over time. To this day I haven't gotten the Tutacalendar widget on Android to function properly, but I access the calendar via the app anyways. One feature we really need is the ability to swtich off notifications for a given inbox. We can create separate e-mails, give us the power to silence them too.I recommend Tuta to anyone seeking privacy and a good start at a platform, arm yourself with a bit of patience though.
